Doubletree by Hilton Luxembourg

Excellent séjour dans cet hôtel où le personnel est très gentil, efficace et aux petits soins, propreté impeccable, literie très confortable. Seul petit point à relever : pas de prise electiqur dans la salle de bain pour le sèche-cheveux, ce qui n'est pas pratique pour les brushing.

I had high expectations from this hotel, given its four-star rating and affiliation with DoubleTree, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Firstly, the heating system was frustratingly rigid. Despite attempting to adjust the temperature, it was locked at 23 degrees, leaving no control over personal comfort. For a hotel of this standard, this is unacceptable. Additionally, the location is far from the city center with no eateries or amenities nearby, which makes it inconvenient for travelers. The building itself is showing its age and no longer meets the usual DoubleTree standards. The most upsetting part of our stay was the issue with the taxi booking. We asked the hotel to book a taxi to the station, and they assured us the fare would be a maximum of 25 euros. However, the taxi driver charged us 49 euros—nearly double! This felt like a scam, and if the hotel cannot ensure fair pricing, I would have preferred to book an Uber or another web taxi, both of which showed prices closer to 25 euros. To make matters worse, when we tried calling the hotel to resolve this issue, no one picked up. This lack of responsiveness is highly unprofessional and only added to our frustration. Overall, the experience lacked the trust and quality one would expect from a four-star DoubleTree hotel. I would not recommend staying here until these issues are addressed.

It was not too far from center of city

Mooi mooi modern hotel. Op de kamer alles aanwezig wat je wenst. De kamer was alleen heel erg warm en niet goed te regelen.

In general it wasn’t a bad stay, although the hotel looks as if it is in need of refurbishment. The indoor pool was far too cold (for us), the breakfast was a standard breakfast although when we asked for orange juice 15 minutes before breakfast ends, we were told that they ran out of it (?!). We also found one day the door of our room open, although nothing was missing. We reported it back to reception and they said they would inform housekeeping about the incident, although this happened hours after the housekeeping had been in our room. They couldn’t accept my loyalty with Hilton, although everywhere else I go and ask them to add it to my booking they gladly do. I know I wouldn’t get any points but they normally add the nights and I have a free breakfast, it may be different policy in different countries which I understand. We had not booked breakfast, but it looks like the price varies from 15€/person up to 40€/person, depending the day (at least this was what we were told when we were asking to pay for breakfast the night before). On weekdays is more expensive on weekends is cheaper. If I visit Luxembourg again, I reckon I would try finding another place to be honest, even if I had to pay more.

Kwaliteit vd bedden was goed, het ontbijt en de stille omgeving. Minder vonden wij dat het zwembad dicht of heel beperkt open was, dit was een reden om dit hotel te kiezen. Verlichting in de kamer is niet optimaal met deze donkere dagen en in bad moeten douchen is niet ideaal.

Prima hotel alleen wat gedateerd.

It was good. The door where you hang you coats was broken and I struggled to open it. However, the bed was comfortable to sleep in and breakfast and dinner was delicious.

Deux chambres pour trois personnes pour deux nuits consécutives depuis deux mois.A notre arrivée une chambre n’était prévue que pour deux personnes :d’où,réclamation.Un lit supplémentaire est ajouté,mais sans draps ni couvert :de nouveau,réclamation !!! Dans chaque salle de bain :deux serviettes de toilette pour trois personnes et distributeurs de gel vides pour deux sur trois….. Infusettes non renouvelées pour la deuxième nuit… Tous ces problèmes sont inadmissibles pour un hôtel de cette catégorie.

Location was convenient for our quick 1.5 days stay in the area.

Deux chambres louées pour 3 personnes chacune depuis 2 mois.A notre arrivée,une chambre n’était aménagée que pour 2 personnes.Après réclamation,un lit d’appoint a été ajouté mais sans draps ni couette.Il a fallu réclamer de nouveau…… Dans chaque chambre,2 serviettes seulement pour 3 personnes…..distributeurs de gels de toilette vides pour 2 sur 3….pas de verre ni gobelet dans les salles de bain…. Pas de remise pour les deuxièmes nuits alors que les serviettes n’ont pas été changées….

J‘ai réservé une chambre pour deux nuits et pour 3 personnes:il a fallu réclamer pour disposer d’un troisième lit.Il a fallu de nouveau réclamer pour avoir un drap et une couette pour ce lit. De plus,pas de serviette de toilette pour cette troisième personne…2 des 3 distributeurs de savons liquides étaient vides….. Inadmissible….pour un hôtel de cette catégorie…. De plus,j’ai payé deux nuitées consécutives pour deux chambres mais aucune remise pour les deuxièmes nuits bien que ni les draps ni les serviettes de toilette n’ont été changés….
