Motel 6 Santa Rosa, CA - South

We booked this hotel for a short 3 night stay. Upon check in our first room was pretty dirty and tiny, so we requested an upgrade to a larger room which they gave us at no charge (thank you). But the second room was filthy too. Hair in the beds, dirty pillow cases, things stuck to the comforter and just not even close to clean. Add on top, the area was very crowded with homeless people all over the property. They were kind and cancelled and refunded most of our stay. There’s no way I’d take my wife and kid here, between the cleanliness and environment. I’d have booked a second hotel and just ate the price of this one even if they hadn’t given me a refund. Staff was friendly though, so there’s that.

This is in a good, safe part of Santa Rosa. Grounds are clean and well-maintained. Staff was nice, and for the price it is a good value. Will return, and unless you want a fancy place, it is a great option.

Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The front desk guy made me pay $40 cash to check in 20 min early. I’m sure that went right in his pocket but I was too scared to wait outside on the property. We were there a hellish 3 days and the cops were called multiple times. Screaming and banging all night. Drug deals in the parking lot. There wasn’t even a shower curtain in our room. Disgusting. This place should be condemned.

Pretty sure nothing was cleaned or washed

I arrive later in the evening approximately 4-5 hours after they start checking in guest. I get the key go to the room open the door to a very disturbing fragrance, there was a person's belongings and a little trash that bed was not made. I returned to the office and explain the situation and just giving a new key for the room embark on another journey down to the room as I open the door I see a bed looking very unmade and used and abused along with full garbage cans and you shower no toilet paper and another room that wasn't serviced or cleaned and I have a Wonder to myself this is some kind of sick joke or just a lack of management but the only solution they had for me was to stay in that room or white for the wrong day and cuz they said that they just started funerals was a lie. I wake up to a knock at the door with an employee at 10:45 a.m. he said he will it was time to check out time. For some reason I thought I'd check out time was that noon but I guess that was wrong I was running a little behind and just give me a rushed for no reason I can see that is justifiable due to the fact that they don't seem to even clean the rooms just to be a nuisance. My never-ending nightmare continues today on Christmas Eve last year at this time Christmas Eve I was apprehended for somebody else's nonsense where I had to pay the price for some very unresponsible and person of not very good character. Usually the customer service is great and there's not much to complain about. And everything is straight f forward. I stay and leave. But this time it w wasn't so much like this. Soon as I got into my room I noticed a dog next door who was either missing their owner or had anxiety because after an hour of continuous barking, it's gotta make u think what's going on over there? I'm usually pretty patient with animals too and noise don't bother me but something was wrong so I didn't went to office to ask if ma rsnroom change wa possibe, but there wasn't. I also paid for a room with micro/fridge , didn't happen either:( so eventually after office tried to put a stop to the dog barking and were not successful, the police show up ok great. So u got popo banging next door asking me question s as if I knew who the ppl were , which I did not? Weird. Then my last straw was in the morn. I'm a frequent visitor of this area /motel I'm not just some scumbag trying to find the next moving spot. So when I ask for a laste check out so I can have few extra minutes getting ready I expect to get that at least,? But they tell me no they stopped doing that and I stead gave my partner and I 5 minutes to get out? Which was fine by all means, I guess. I just felt weird rude vibes from the employees. When all I've done is be super respectful of them and any rooms I stay in

Not a good location. Needs major improvements. Mattress was very uncomfortable. I had to ask for towels. As they had not been replaced. A non-smoking room that smelled like cigarettes. Yuck. Loud guests... loud cars... drug dealing... I was very generous with the stars that I gave it. I will not stay here again.

It is NOT the picture they use in the advertisement. The first thing I did upon arrival to check in, was ask where this picture was taken on the property. She said oh, thats our otger property, up the road. Tgere was no pool or trees it was absolutely horrible lookibg. Broken wondows, beat up doors, filthy. No towels, no soap, no blow dryer, hair all over, it was gross. There was a prositute with no pants on standing outside her rom, when we got to our rooms. She was later giving blow jobs with her curtains wide open. Another hooker had her pimp in a fight with her john yelliing at 7 a.m about the john trying to rob her. It was crazy. A car backed into another parked car outside our window. If you like to feel like your staying in a Tarantino film, you will love it here. Bring Lysol, we went to get 2 cans. Thankfully we brought our own bedding/pillows. It is conveniently located if you feel courageous enough to stay.

The property was run down, some rooms boarded up with plywood. The TV in the 1st room was broken, no toilet paper in the bathroom, no hangers, bandaid stuck on bath floor, no ice bucket, beds were hard, blankets dirty. I instructed the clerk at check in not to run my credit card for payment until checkout because I wanted to use a different payment. She ran it anyway against my specific instruction & the day clerk would not correct it. I will be contacting my credit card company for a credit back. The photos of the site on Travelocity did not accurately reflect the actual site. It also states it is located in Santa Rosa South, but it is in the North & a depressed location

Some of the towels were dirty and it was very loud with people outside all night long but as far as the price that was okay. Also seemed like someone kept trying to open our door.

Even if this room was priced under $30 I would not be back. The rooms were very misleading on Expedia compared to the actual room that we received. We walked through the door to the odor of smoke in a non smoking room. It’s very underwhelming with the not so very clean towels. The room you can tell was swept but surely not mopped whatsoever. There was a stain on the sheets but that was the tip of the iceberg. I woke up the next morning to what looked like bedbug bites to me and my wife on my hands and wrists. Upon further inspection of the bed, we took off the bedsheets to discover that they put a white pad between the sheets and the mattress to conceal what was more than likely a murder in that room. There was a blood stain right in the middle of the bed approximately 3 feet in diameter. We were horrified and feel violated that they would have the audacity to not disclose this and when mentioned to the front desk, all we got was “sorry”. We will be following up with their corporate office on Monday and if they want proof we can show the pictures. I should have threw the bed off the balcony, in front of the glass that she hides behind and ask her if she would sleep on that? Unbelievable. BEWARE. DO NOT COME HERE

I booked this hotel under false pretences, believing it to be a Radisson hotel. Very sketchy neighborhood and I thought I had the address incorrect as it was a Motel 6. I was very tired, even though my companion wanted to leave. Police kept driving around the building all hours of the night. I am astounded that Hotels. Com would have this on their site.

THIS IS A SHAM the photos shown 1st are for another facility at park inn , formally a motel 6 w- lowest ratings in the area , we arrived and the entire place was under demolition or repair ,I was not offered a refund through the property or through hotels.com they don't even check out the properties if they did they would know the last pictures are the only ones of the real place per the address, after going around and around with the site mgt they offered 50% refund , that Hotels .com was able to secure but short of a total refund for false advertisement or at the minimum misrepresentation is sort of like a poke in the eye with a dull stick , we had to turn around and pay a 50% higher rate for another hotel room at the La Quinta where they had already take in several other travelers this happened to , so since no refundable I paid for a whole night to the scammers , but I've learned my lesson

This is advertised as Park Inn by Radisson but is actually a decrepit Motel 6 recently purchased by Radisson for renovation but that is not yet done. The listing on Expedia shows a nice looking place but reality was very different. Sent first to a room already occupied, then to a 2nd room that was uncleaned. At least refunded my money to I could go to Holiday Inn nearby.
