Mercure Cardiff North Hotel

Great location for visiting Cardiff. Appeared short staffed, on arrival reception not manned. However, helpful staff. Car park mainly in darkness.

A bit out of the way but very clean, shower was amazing and the bed super comfortable! A bus stop was close by and it took 15 minutes to the centre of Cardiff

Second time staying here, and both times the room wasn't a comfortable temperature it was too cold. I understand trying to save the environment but I'd like my room to be warm

Stay here often. 1st experience where they want to charge extea for parking. They let me off with a warning that in future I will be charged. Guess what. I won't be staying again. After 32 stays. Silly

Surprised that parking was additional cost and the tv had no signal at all but the bed and room were comfy and clean

Functional Friendly staff good breakfast but not available before 7am Menu for other meals basic. Ok for first night but ate out on subsequent nights as menu was uninspired Heating is through wall mounted air con unit controls difficult to see with subdued lighting

Staff were very helpful and accommodating and the request that I may have had also one of the rooms was not up to standard so the staff managed to relocate us to a different room overall good stay not any issues whatsoever in a very pleasant and enjoyable experience

Lovely spacious room, very clean and nice bathroom, big TV which is nice considering a lot of hotels have small TV's

Made us move rooms during the stay with just a few hours notice to pack our stuff. Shower soaked the bathroom floor when on 50 percent power or more Other than that, it was a nice stay.

This was our first time staying in a Mercure. The location was ideal for us, close to the centre but not too busy and more reasonable price. The lounge and bar downstairs was lovely. Nice Christmas decorations too. Check in was easy and efficient. Room was great, very clean, everything we needed. The layout, tv and bathroom felt more modern and slightly more high end compared to a Premier Inn. We will definitely stay at a Mercure again!

Rigtig søde og hjælpsomme personaler! Vi måtte akut tage en ekstra overnatning, hvor personalet var hjælpsomme omkring dette!

Only 1 pillow each, yes, I know I could have requested more, but a minimum of 2 should be standard. Mould in the corner of the room. Only 1 normal tea bag available, the rest were fruit teas The bar man was used, had to show him where the gin was Breakfast only luke warm.

The hotel is nice and in quiet place for relaxation. The breakfast has reasonable items but it can be further improved. Lobby is nice and clean and welcoming. The rooms needs renovation, no slippers were offered. Bath towels needs change.

All in all this was a good place to stay. However, on Wednesday evening I was bit able to get a drink from the bar. I has to say quite loudly "excuse me" to get the attention of two people who were standing behind the bar and discussing a problem. Then when 8 asked fir a half of Guinness the man said "there is no Guinness" and reverted to his discussion. I gave up and went to my room.
