Loved this place

The castle has so much character & charm. Set in beautiful grounds

We stayed in Room 115 and unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. The constant slamming of doors throughout the night made it nearly impossible to get any rest. The noise was disruptive, and we barely managed to sleep. The breakfast was equally disappointing. Considering the price, we expected much better. The buffet was nearly empty, and we ended up feeling like we would have had a better experience at a local Weatherspoon’s, which was a real letdown. As for the spa facilities, they simply weren’t worth the price. They didn’t live up to the expectations set by the hotel’s branding. While the location is beautiful, and the building itself has a lot of potential, the overall experience was far too overpriced for what we received. It’s a shame because the area has so much to offer, but unfortunately, this hotel didn’t deliver.

Rooms dirty & tired. In desperate need of a make over. Dirty bags of laundry in the guest hall ways. Work mens tools in the hall ways. Rooms damp with moisture on windows & mold on the windows

What can i say? We love this place! Rooms always clean and warm, staff always friendly and peacocks always hungry! We will be back again very soon.

This is a beautiful and amazing hotel, but it desperately need repairs and improvements. By that I mean, the carpets, paintwork, accessories, Wallpapers etc.

The trip was for my birthday , the room was nice and big as we had 2 dogs aswell who were well looked after as well ,food was good and breakfast was as well , so all in all everything was comfortable

Interesting building but no atmosphere of welcome. Tired rooms my bedroom / bathroom smelt of drains. bathroom whilst very nice to look at smelled moldy and took 20 mins to get any amount of hot water as it trickled out. Bedroom was large but carpet worn. Very long walk to room in strange basement area. Did not feel very safe. Bed was lumpy. Restaurant pricey and average. Grounds and views are beautiful but hotel lacks any warmth. Ruthin lovely hill town worth visiting

Lovely setting, beautiful building, friendly helpful staff, huge rooms, great outdoor area.

Great hotel and helpful staff members. We stayed in the Prince of Wales Suite which was lovely, had a couple of issues but were resolved by hotel staff. We would stay here again.

Ruthin is very tired! Rooms are filthy. Stains everywhere! Everywhere chipped! Certainly the prices Do Not reflect the property.

Hotel room is cold damp and unclean, room was very standard bed ancient tv and a wardrobe, bugs clearly visible on the carpet! Wallpaper ripped and falling off walls bed uncomfortable very basic bumpy mattress food was delicious at restaurant but very limited choice. Good job didn’t pay full price as got the night stay on a deal

Great place, went as a single person and got the usual small room with no view. But I'm used to that!
