For more exhibition information, please see [Golden Horse Hotel official website](https://www.alien.com.tw/websev?lang=zh-tw&ref=list&cat=25) # Exhibition information * **Getulio. Aviani: Sensing the Future (2023.12.02-2024.10.27)** # This exhibition is a new attempt to sort out the curatorial context for the fifth anniversary of the Golden Horse Hotel. The exhibited works cover various art fields, including painting and sculpture, graphic design, fashion concepts, architectural environment, and many other plastic arts fields. The exhibition space is also combined with "Ideatore plastic, the inventor of plastic arts" Gertulio. The artistic works of Getulio Alviani and the cross-border dialogue between minimalist design master Poul Kjærholm and "Italian national treasure architectural designer" Mario Bellini demonstrate the trend of dialogue between art and design thinking. * **Leave a message Leave a message: (2023.08.09-2024.09.01)** # "This is an anonymous letter. If you open it casually, every sentence will be like a long-lost reunion." At a certain moment, I thought of the many people hiding in my heart, or myself who was once young and ignorant. Are there things you care about, stories you can’t tell, or even things you don’t have time to say? Now the opportunity is rekindled, inviting you to find the person in your heart and sincerely tell him what you want to say to him. Participating artists come from various fields, including artist He Cairou, sound musician Liu Fangyi, dancer Zhou Shuyi, entrepreneur Shao Yongtian, chairman, and writer Wu Nianzhen; the exhibition is curated by Yongtian Art Shao Yaman, with visual design by Fang Shefang. . * **Collins Canal (Permanent Exhibition)** # James. This is the latest and largest work in a series of glass installations that Turrell has been undertaking since 2004. Inspiration comes from some of the narrowest waterways in international shipping, such as the Corinth Canal, Dardanelles and Sunda Straits. On these legs, the sky is framed by towering walls created by nature, and the vast horizon is only glimpsed. The work utilizes the geometric framework of diamonds to project sharp shapes of light, arranged into blocks of color that appear to float in the air, reminiscent of Turrell's earliest experiments with light projection. Parallel lines can also be associated with his Space in the Sky series, which frames the sky with a specific window. It is a sculpted environment that allows the viewer to experience a meditation on skylight. (The works are open for viewing from 10:00-12:30 and 14:30-17:00.) * **Transition (Permanent Exhibition)** # "Transition" is a set of on-site multimedia installations that start from the history of the Golden Horse Hotel and extend to the present moment. The first part is a "time capsule". The transparent "time capsule" is engraved with excerpts of interviews with old friends of Jinma. The audience can hold it in the palm of their hand and reconstruct the meaning of this place at the personal, national and era levels through fragmented retrospection. Han. The second part is a space for meditation, with the low sound of Kaohsiung Port vibrating and light spots crossing the darkness. Before leaving the exhibition, we invite the audience to write down the transition they are going through, so that the works can accumulate a micro-history of moving forward over time. # # About Yongtian Art and Jinma Hotel Contemporary Art Museum # # The only remaining "Golden Horse Hotel" in Taiwan was built in the year after the August 23rd Artillery Battle. From 1967 to 1998, it became the temporary residence of the soldiers who went to the Golden Horse Front. "Gold" and "Horse" symbolize Kinmen and Matsu. During the Cold War, the Kinmen and Mazu front lines had contemporary historical connotations with the Berlin Wall and the 38.5th parallel. The Golden Horse Hotel was decommissioned in 1998. In 2016, ALIEN Art took over the construction and management mission. It was launched as a contemporary art museum in 2018 and was immediately selected as the top contemporary art museum in Kaohsiung by the Lonely Planet travel guide in the United States. # The Jinma Hotel Contemporary Art Museum restores Taiwan’s unique exquisite architectural craftsmanship in the 1960s. Beautiful mountain and forest views can be enjoyed from every window. Integrating the leisure function of the museum cafe and proposing the avant-garde trend of international art exhibitions, It has become an art showcase to the world. # Located in the Da Pier 2 Art Zone where Yancheng snacks gather, it connects the magnificent sea views of Hama Star and Xizi Bay. There is a large parking lot next to the museum, close to the city center, with convenient transportation and convenient parking. It is an indicator of international visitors and tourism.
