Stayed for 2 weeks in room 122, same room I had last year. Very friendly and attentive staff that caters to all your needs (5/5). Limited parking space; During my stay the occupancy rate reached only up to 60% and at times there were only 3 to 4 parking spots left. Luckily, I checked in early and made sure to be back at the hotel before 5 p. M. When using my car to run daily errands (3/5). Breakfast is per expectation for a 3-star hotel. Food selection: fresh cut fruits, steamed white rice, fried rice, alternating selection of chicken, fish or beef dish, warm vegetables, salad bowl, rice porridge, crackers, Balinese coffee & tea, juices, and a wide array of wheat/flour-based edibles (toast, pastry, pancakes etc.), which are sometimes unfortunately rock solid. There's also an egg station which is most of the time manned by a trainee, so don't have too high expectations when ordering "challenging/sophisticated" egg dish such as poached egg (3/5). A circle K/convenience shop open 24 hours is located next to the lobby. Superbly convenient (5/5). Shower floor drain & shower floor tile are completely misaligned in room 122. Same problem I had last year. Due to misalignment water flows into the "suppose-to-be" dry area of the bathroom (2/5). Hotel's location is very strategic. It's on the main artery Jalan Gatot Subroto (Gatsu) so getting around places is not a hassle. During rush hour there's traffic but nothing as severe as Canggu, still manageable. Traveling to other hotspots like Renon, Canggu, Seminyak, Sanur, Kuta & Legian will take up to 30 minutes by car. Travel time to Ubud by car around 1 hour (5/5). Decent sized swimming pool that is unfortunately open to the public. Seems like management is trying to supplement the hotel's income and mitigate losses due to low occupancy during low season (2/5). In all fairness, I had a very wonderful time staying at Neo and I look forward to my next stay, which accumulates to an overall grade of 4/5 (saved by staff's charm, civility & tact).
