Lake Utonai (ウトナイ湖)
Lake Utonai is a 275-hectare freshwater lake with an average depth of 0.6 meters into which the Bibi river (美々川) and other clear streams flow, providing a beautiful natural habitat of wildness and marshes around the lake. Lake Utonai is recognized as a wealth of flora and wildlife as well as a haven for wild birds, with over 270 kinds of birds proven to exist.
