This project attempts to capitalize on the strong potential of traditional culture, which is thought to be of great appeal to tourists, by focusing on Nihonbashi. As a pioneering endeavor, we will collaborate to create Edo-period cultural tourism experiences in the Kanto region. The program will focus on generating unique experiences with "extraordinary individuals" (such as cultural inheritors) and "extraordinary places" (cultural hotspots like as Nihonbashi and Ginza) serving as the stage.
This program introduces foreign tourists to Japanese traditional music. Professional performers will entertain participants with nagauta, kouta, and haya-bushi performances. They will learn about the instruments and history of Japanese traditional music, and will practice playing shamisen, tiny drums, and flutes with the direction of these specialists. The session concludes with a hands-on activity in which all participants can perform together.
