-What You Can Expect-

Situated in the heart of the site, Wat Mahathat is the oldest temple in Ayutthaya. Visit the famous Buddha head covered in tree roots. Legend has it that when the head was chopped off from the Buddha statue by Burmese soldiers, it miraculously rolled toward a bodhi tree and embed itself into the tree trunk. The Burmese soldiers were scared away upon witnessing, thus the temple remained intact up to now.

Journey to The Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, a temple constructed in 14 century to commemorate the victory over Burma. Stand in awe at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, with its towering stupa and rows of seated Buddhas in bright, saffron robes. Climb up the peak of the tower and throw a coin into a wishing well, or press it against the sole of the reclining Buddha for luck.

Drop by The Wat Phra Si Sanphet Temple constructed to accommodate the royal rituals and ceremonies, housing the king and other royals' ashes in three stupas. Up until now, the stupas had survived through all the wars and damaging factors, towering in front of centuries of visitors. Marvel at its eternal proud as it presents thousands of lotus carved on the pillars, proving itself the true heritage of the Ayutthaya Dynasty.

Finally, prepared to be amazed by a dazzling show featuring expert performers and elephants haloed by amazing light & sound embellishments. Admire how traditional relics integrates with modern innovation, creating a conflicting whilst immersive performance that completes your Ayutthaya day tour.
