Required documents: passport, original driver's license, Japanese translation, international driver's license (an international driver's license issued by an organization recognized by a country that has signed the Geneva Convention in accordance with the format of the Geneva Convention)
☆The international driver's license is valid for 1 year from the date of issue (please confirm the issue date), and is valid for driving in Japan for 1 year from the date of entry (please confirm the entry stamp on your passport).
If you use the automated entry and exit channels, there will be no passport stamp (certification stamp). A stamp (identity verification) is required when renting a car. After passing through the self-service channel, please be sure to apply for the seal (certification stamp) of each examination staff. However, if a person holding a Japanese Resident Registration Card re-enters Japan within 3 months, the date of re-entry will not be considered as the starting date for driving in Japan.
International driver's licenses issued by signatory countries of the Treaty of Paris (1926), the Treaty of Washington (1943), and the Treaty of Vienna (1968) are not recognized in Japan. Even if an international driver's license is issued in a country that is a signatory to the Geneva Convention, it will be considered invalid if it is issued by an institution that does not have the authority to issue it. If the format of the international driver's license differs significantly from the Geneva Convention format, it will be considered invalid.
☆If you hold a driver's license issued by Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, Monaco, Estonia, etc., you can drive within one year of entering Japan with your driver's license and Japanese translation. Please bring the above two documents and the driver's passport to the store to rent a car.
☆The Japanese translation must be issued by the embassy or consulate of each country, or the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) or JDL (Japan Drivers License). 【Easy Insurance Plan】

"Easy Insurance Plan" The deductible in the event of an accident is capped at 250,000 yen

【Basic Insurance Plan】

In addition to the basic compensation of the Easy Plan, you will also be exempted from paying the property exemption amount (50,000 yen) and the vehicle compensation exemption amount (50,000 yen/minibus, 100,000 yen for 1-digit trucks) in the event of an accident.
It also provides rescue services in case of tire blowout or tire damage. The Basic Insurance Plan has an accident deductible of up to 100,000 yen.

2. RV and W models can be returned to the store by yourself: original fee of 30,000 yen → waived. Vehicles cannot be returned by yourself: original fee of 70,000 yen → waived.

Note:
If the store or the police are not contacted as required after the incident, the NOC exemption will not apply.
"Damage and odor (such as smoking, vomiting, etc.)" on the interior of the vehicle are not exempted from the NOC and the corresponding fees must still be paid.
