The Information about Baturraden Express Train

Baturraden Express Train serves Purwokerto to Bandung for a round trip.

According to Grafik Perjalanan Kereta API (Gapeka) 2023, this route is divided into interconnecting ways. It is Purwokerto to Kroya and will be continued by Kroya to Bandung. But those routes have different ticket fares each.

In its history, Baturraden Express has been launched on 25th June 2021. This train is under Purwokerto Operation Area V.

Baturraden was named after the area in Banyumas City, and it is Baturraden. The name Baturraden also refers to the society tales about the love story of a prince (raden) and a servant (batur).

The Classes of Baturraden Express Train

There are two classes provided by Baturraden Express Train, they are the business and the executive classes. The business class has a 2-2 arrangement seat (AB-CD), all of them are facing forward.

The seat is pretty soft so the passengers will feel comfortable during their journey. And if you travel with many people, the seat can be adjusted so you can sit facing one another. 

Just like the business class, the seat in the executive one also has a 2-2 arrangement seat (AB-CD) and can be rotated and adjusted. But for this executive’s seats, it has an arm reset as a separator.

Routes, Ticket Fare, and Schedule of Baturraden Express Train

According to Grafik Perjalanan Kereta API (Gapeka) 2023, the Baturraden Express Train serves two round-trip routes.

The first route is a round trip to Kroya, Cilacap to Purwokerto. For this trip, you can take KA 179, while from Purwokerto to Kroya, you can take KA 180.

The second round trip by this train is from Kroya, Cilacap to Bandung. This route has two train series operating. They are KA 181, which will run from Kroya to Bandung, and KA 182, which will run from Bandung to Kroya.

During your trip, you will pass through 5 stations from Purwokerto to Kroya. Meanwhile, you will pass 40 stations from the Kroya to Bandung route, and 11 of them are halt stations.

There are some train cars at Baturraden Train itself. They are 5 business cars, 1 head-end power car with restoration, 2 executive cars, and 1 locomotive car.

For business cars, there are seats for 64 passengers. Meanwhile, one executive car has 50 seats for passengers.

Talking about facilities, this train also provided various facilities, such as a toilet and restoration area that provides heavy meals, snacks, and drinks. In addition, the business car also provides some facilities, such as electrical outlets, a mini table to put your drink, an air conditioner (AC), a curtain, and a glass breaker for each

Meanwhile, The facilities at the executive car are more complete. It has electrical outlets, mini table to put your drink, air conditioner (AC), light fire extinguisher, a foldable mini table for putting your food, working, or reading, and additional racks for putting your luggage items.

The current journey with Bandung-Kroya destination and Kroya-Purwokerto by Baturraden Train will operate once daily. This train will depart at 08.10 am every day from Bandung Station.

Meanwhile, the Purwokerto-Kroya and Kroya-Bandung routes will depart at 08.47 pm every day from Purwokerto Station.
