For users of bus services across Sumatra, especially Palembang, you must be familiar with the name Yoanda Prima. Yoanda Prima is an Autobus Company (PO) that offers Inter-City Inter-Provincial (AKAP) routes and has its head office on Jalan Soekarno Hatta No. 2, Bukit Baru, Ilir Barat I, Palembang.

The history of the establishment of Yoanda Prima began in August 1998. H. Jhon Samti founded Yoanda Prima with the mission of making Yoanda Prima a provider of land transportation with satisfying and comfortable services. This is very important, considering that there are not many POs in the Sumatra region that can accommodate people's aspirations, especially in the midst of tight competition in the land transportation business.

In its first years of operation, Yoanda Prima only served a few routes. But now, Yoanda Prima services have spread to several cities in Sumatra such as Padang, Bukittinggi, Solok, Payakumbuh, Muara Bungo, Muara Tebu, and Kiliran Jao. Of the many cities served, the Palembang – Padang round trip (p.p.) route is the most popular route.

The fleet used by this PO is Mercedes-Benz buses which are divided into two classes, namely non-AC and AC. For AC class, each bus uses a 2-2 seat configuration, equipped with air conditioning (AC), pillows, blankets and a special smoking room. Meanwhile, the non-AC class has a 2-3 seat configuration without air conditioning (non-AC).

As time goes by, the transportation services offered by Yoanda Prima are increasingly developing. This PO was finally able to develop its transportation business by providing bus transportation services for tourism, employees and rentals.
