Bemo is also called Angkot by the Ambonese people. To differentiate them, Bemo has a yellow or green color with aircon. Bemo reaches almost every place in Ambon, which makes it easier for you to go anywhere.

In 2018, the Upulatu of Ambon initiated the word “Tabea” as a greeting word in Ambon city. Some other words are beta means I, ose means you, kamorang means you (plural), dorang means they, batong means us, wate means uncle, and ua means aunty. However, if you have a tour guide, you should learn with them first to be right in accent and pronunciation.
It is not completely going to Ambon but does not try the typical Ambonese menu. Some of the culinary menus that you must taste are Papeda and Fish with Yellow sauce, Asar Fish, Kohu-Kohu, Nasi Kuning Begadang, Bamboo Rice, Asar Banana, Rujak Natsepa, Gogos and Sibu-Sibu coffee, Ne Porridge, Ampas Tarigu, and many others.
