Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha, is an enormous bronze statue that is one of Hong Kong's most popular tourist destinations. The statue, which is 34 meters high, is part of the Po Lin Monastery compound. Visitors must climb 268 steps on a steep staircase to see the statue from up close. Once on top, their hard work will be rewarded with magnificent views of the mountain and sea surrounding Lantau Island.
