Franklin Manor was a beautiful historic house. It was a short walk into Strahan along the waterfront. Thomas, the manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included, was beautifully presented & delicious.

First impressions were Wow!
The history and decor is true to the character. Staff can’t do enough for you - always happy to oblige.
Breakfast was good, comfort was high. No TV wasn’t an issue with so much to do and enjoy if you desire.
Easy walking access to town.
Parking can be challenging during busy times.

Loved the history and atmosphere, the staff were excellent and very helpful, the food was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room chairs are very uncomfortable but suited the decor of the property. Some curtains were tattered, spiderwebs in corners and around windows.
The breakfast was very nice as was the service.
The property is in keeping with the period but the gardens have been let go.

A beautiful location - so quiet and peaceful yet walking distance into the Strahan village and surrounds. We enjoyed a magical walk to the very close-by Hogarth Falls - very special indeed.

The interior of the property suited the exterior - a period piece of excellence. Staff were great, the area quiet and peaceful - just what we wanted. A perfect location for the railway and river cruise journey's that again were both excellent (recommended).

It is a pleasant place rich in history, but needs some maintenance. If you a struggle with getting bags up and down stairs, ask for a ground floor room as there is no lift.

Warm hospitality, delicious breakfast. We enjoyed the ambience of the housebar and having a night cap. Comfortable bed, great shower. We also enjoyed the walk to the waterfall.

Franklin Manor is a beautiful old house, with so much character! The best shower I've ever had and a great breakfast thrown in. Its a nice walk into the township of Strahan and Hogarth Falls hike is almost next door. Loved our stay here 💜

While our room was comfortable and the hotel's location was excellent, the walls in the hotel are paper thin. We heard the people in the room next to use snoring all night. In addition, at breakfast we were charged for a second cup of coffee.

Franklin Manor is an old house that has been renovated. One of our nights was very hot but there is no aircon throughout the property.
