Mercure Alice Springs Resort

Beautiful setting and my room was excellent. The pool swim-up bar is shown as operational, however, it is closed down and filthy. Not pleasant to look at. The food in the restaurant was very good.

In general the property was fairly maintained and in a convenient location however there wasn’t much on the menu for dinner.

I couldn't fault the staff, they were all friendly and helpful. However, there were a few negative points: The chairs in the dining room needed a good clean. The glass fencing around the pool were smeary and needed cleaning. The rubbish bin by the pool wasn't emptied for at least a couple of days. Alice Springs itself did not feel safe at all, even during the day, so we did not venture out in the evening - I realise this is no fault of the hotel but it would have been nice if we were warned about this when checking in. Finally, about a month before we were due to arrive our flight got changed which meant we wouldn't arrive until a day later. Despite contacting the hotel they wouldn't refund for the first day and didn't even offer a room upgrade. It is a shame about these points, as it wouldn't take much effort to bring it round. But instead it just felt a little tired and neglected.

Nice room. Brilliant luggage lift for rooms on second floor. Excellent breakfasts but reserve ahead for better price. Tasty dinners. Helpful reception staff.

Very noisy until 1am from parties hosted at the venue.

Great launching pad for day trips to the surrounding areas. The pool was a welcome sight after a day in the heat.

Condition of the room was ok but decor was dated. No USB ports and no spare power points near the beds was frustrating. The pool was great and very refreshing. Town centre was 5 minutes walk away so very convenient.

Last minute booking. Pleasantly surprised, short walk to center of town. Beds were so comfortable, crisp white linen ensured we were able to catch up on some much needed sleep. I’d recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay in Alice Springs! Close to town and so an easy walk. An easy walk to great walkways and cycle ways too

Good location. Less than 10 minutes walk to Todd Mall. Good hot and cold options for breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable beds
