Rooms was clean and spacious. Staff were really friendly and helpful,strategic location where business center,malls and food area are within walking distance. If you don't feel like walking,a red cat bus free ride service is right at the front door. I don't travel that much often to perth,but twice a year is definitely on my schedule. Travel lodge would be my first option over the other when it comes to accomodation.

Room was clean and tidy and comfortable. The meals were not up to expectation, had lunch and dinner there. Service was quite poor for drinks, coffees and meals. Had to wait for long times to get served. We didn’t bother having breakfast there and went elsewhere.

The room was over priced by $110/night The sofa foot was fixed , but the block off wood stuck out 75mm to 100mm just enough to stub your toes on.the bathroom was well dated. No vanity / cupboard storage. The light fitting over where your suitcase is stored was completely smash so you couldn't see inside the suitcase.

The rooms are extremely run down and very basic. Everything is clearly on the cheap and nasty side. Stained couches, bath tubs flaking paint, dirty stained refrigerator. The toilet paper supplied was worse than the Perth public toilets. The food buffet was good.

This hotel is really tired and is situated in the 'ghetto' end of Perth. I had to change room because there was only a trickle of water from the shower (and no temp control). And when I tried to report it, the phone was faulty. Bathrooms and fittings are original (1985). For the price they charge, its an awful option. Never again

When the cost of additional buffet breakfast is 30 bucks per person, at the very least the food should be hot and not just luke warm. Decor in the room was very poor. Renovations must be long overdue.

Great central location, within the free CAT zone, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel and only a 5-minute walk from the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade at check-in. The room was spacious, featured a balcony, and offered a nice open view. While the stay was comfortable, the hotel would benefit from some renovations, particularly in the bathroom.

Advantages: Good location and spacious room. Disadvantages: Poor management of hotel facilities. Shower by standing in bathtub with clogged drain, which was unacceptable. Cleaners incompetent and failed to carry out their job. Returned to room in evening and had to alert duty receptionist, which showed lack of cleaning supervision. Check out staff requires better training.

Mercure on Hay is a convenient location. Staff great on arrival and not to far to walk into town. Good restaurant available downstairs. Rooms need a revamp but old and tired looking. Didn't like I got charged an additional $40 at check-out for paying using a credit card and got told it was a booking fee from Expedia. Thankfully the checkout clerk advised that was incorrect and refunded it. If he wasn't there we wouldn't have known and been charged the extra.
