This may have easily been our favorite stay of our entire European Christmas Market trip. Felt more like home or a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Guesthouse is very appropriate. Walking distance to just about everything and when it wasn't there was great public transportation or Uber. Breakfast was amazing and they even had a honor system for cold drinks. Coffee and tea always available. Staff was among the most attentive and helpful, including the housekeeping staff. Amazing. I do have to include our main contact who welcomed us to the property - Dina. She was amazing, helpful, anticipatory, friendly and exactly the type of person you want interacting with guests. We were even met with a 2 page list of dining options which got personalized for our stay by Dina - it was truly an amazing and wonderful experience. Next time we are in Salzburg, there isn't even a question of where we will be staying. Thank you to the owner, Constance whom met me at checkout, for providing a great house and staff.

A lovely quiet place in a residential neighbourhood with helpful and friendly staff. It was good to be able to come back after a busy day and get a cup of coffee or a drink in the little dining room whenever you felt like it. An easy walk from the nearest bus stop or you can walk to the old town mostly beside the river.

It had been raining all day, and it was a bit confusing to find the front door (which was through the courtyard and around the back of the building), but meeting our hostess Tina made it all better and it stopped raining. This place has amazing hospitality. Tina was fun to talk with and gave us tips on where to go to eat. She even drew maps to help us find the bus stop a few blocks away. She's part tour-guide. The stairs were tough for me, so she even helped us lug our bags up to the room. Very much appreciated. This place is beautiful and very clean. We stayed for two nights and well worth it. It was a highlight of our 3 week trip.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of recommendations for meals and things to do. Room was lovely, very clean and furnished nicely. A fan was provided to try and cool the room down but it was still incredibly warm in the room with the high temperatures.

This is a beautiful little bed and breakfast, impeccably clean and well run. Pros, spotless, quiet, breakfast is ample( loved the offer to make soft boiled eggs). Safe, clean neighborhood. Giant bathtub for 2. Cons: I want to preface this by saying we’re from the US . If I was local, I’d come here for romantic weekends but we were using it as a base for sightseeing. If you’re not familiar with the area, this is a difficult place to find and a long walk20-25 minutes) from the start of the historic district. It’s in a residential area so not really close to many restaurants except by car. Our major complaint was the bedding. The mattress was great but only one type of pillow(flat, feather) was available. Plus the bed was styled traditionally Austrian with 2 small single down comforters, no top sheet or lighter blanket. This is ok if you’re Austrian but if you’re advertising to other cultures it would be nice to have other bedding options available, firmer pillow option, top sheet or lighter blanket. I literally was up 10 times a night either too hot or the comforter was on the floor. Additional bedding is an easy, cheap fix and would take it to a 6 star lodging in my opinion as everything else there was top notch.

The Little Guesthouse is a perfect stay for those who don't mind to be just a little outside of Salzburg (10 min by bicycle or bus stop close by). It's quiet, cosily decorated and has all the amenities you need when coming home from a hiking or sightseeing tour. Breakfast is perfect, the beautiful garden the best place to have it and the hosts at the guesthouse know all the answers before you ask the question. Go for it and have an enjoyable stay!
