Poor building outside. Bar area lacks comfort and atmosphere. Place needs overhaul

We had a very memorable stay as a family. The staff was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet -the best Hash browns I've had! The pool was a good size

Housekeeping staff was good

Good spot convenient for City Centre. Hotel a little tired. Had no WIFI coverage that evening in fairness due to wet weather but TV a also did not work

Easy access from public transport

When we arrived to Holiday Inn at reception the person at reception made a phone call to check if the room was clean . Rooms should all ways be ready and clean before check in time and we was nearly 2 hours over the 15.00 hrs check in time. We then decided to make use of the spar facilities . The jacuzzi was dirty and had bits of dirt at the bottom of the jacuzzi. The safety rails were rusty that went around the jacuzzi . The sauna was out of order in the men’s so I couldn’t use that . Towels from the spar reception smelt of chip fat so our experience of staying here was not good at all .

Nice stay good location to reach of the motorway

1st night cancelled due to power cut after a storm. Left us having to arrange alternative accommodation.and await a refund. Checked in again the following day and all fine good service room clean breakfast plentiful however could be hotter.

We had no heating for 3 nights room freezing given small heater kept tripping out the condom packet behind the curtain left a sick feeling it was amongst dirt room not serviced No toilet roll or tissues lack of compatant Personperson on reception L

Issue with checking in as booked DB&B but only showed B&B when checking in. Don’t know whether Hotels.com system or Holiday Inn booking system. We got sorted in the end. Could have done with a slightly earlier weekend breakfast but excellent choice as usual. Staff all pleasant and attentive. Not too far to drive into city centre.

We had an unusually large room and our dogs were allowed to stay with us, which was great, as other hotels in the area couldn't accommodate them. The breakfast was generous with lots of options. The swimming pool area is perfect. What made our stay particularly enjoyable, though, were the helpful and friendly employees. They were all fantastic!
