Holiday Inn DARLINGTON - A1 SCOTCH CORNER, an IHG Hotel

Helpful and friendly staff.

For travellers going north and south it is conveniently located on the A. Nice enough and did the job.

Decent hotel, comfy room, good breakfast, good dinner.

Convenient location, parking, friendly staff, clean room. No complaints.

Hotel is very nice. Room and customer areas are spotless. Room is comfortable, though you can hear the road noise quite a bit. Staff are very friendly and helped me with the projector in the conference room. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you

The staff were the highlight of the stay. They were friendly, kind, caring and the community spirit was evident throughout every interaction. They were a real team. At a time when there was heavy staff, staff had walked half a mile leaving their car behind just so they could come into work and open up the gym and pool. It made our stay all the more special. Unfortunately the food menu was reduced and the restaurant was closed as there had been a problem with gas supply for the last week which hadn't been fixed. I had been looking forward to having dinner in the restaurant and having the sea bass. But the alternatives were lovely just not what I really wanted.

staff great , pool lovely for children but reception need to inform visitors that they need a pass from reception before walking round the pool as its external walk and if raining not good to have to return to get the pass breakfast lovely

Room ok for overnight use

Stayed here on route from Scotland to London. The hotel is right on the Scotch Corner roundabout, so very convenient for an overnight stop. Very functional hotel that does the job. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant good with nice range of food for dinner and breakfast.

Had a lovely stay. Quiet hotel with good staff. Leisure facilities are a bonus and overall the stay was value for money.

A decent, well located hotel with EV charge points and free parking. The staff were great from check in to the restaurant. The rooms are a good size and clean, bathroom was a little basic and tired but perfectly functional. The pillows are rubbish though. A fairly typical Holiday Inn and one that I will use again for its amenities.

It was an amazing stay, staff lovely and helpful, food was great in restaurant, rooms were really nice too, only negative would be bathroom! Tiles broken on floor where toilet is and window need a blind or curtain as tge frosted stickers are peeling off and people can see into bathroom! However this did not take away from an amazing stay. Anyone using pool should probably be made aware pre visit that you need a padlock for lockers also.

Omg best holiday inn I've stayed at (ok that's not a massive list but still). Nicolas was lovely at check in.

Excellent location and good value for money for a overnight stop.

Room was clean but bathroom fittings seemed tired and in need of updating. Bed a bit hard and quite a small room. Plus side staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast was top quality.

Staff and front desk super helpful Were rushing to get to wedding but did lots to support and help us be on time

It's a lovely hotel staff were all very good and friendly, we felt that the bed could have been more comfortable, the breakfast was excellent.

Amazing stay, even emailed beforehand to see if we were IHG members (which we are but we had credits to use on hotels.com) The day we got there they were hosting an IHG members day and we were offered chocolate during check in, with lots more lovely snacks, wine etc on in the next room (totally free of charge!) It was a super stay and the bar staff on the evening of the 10th october were super too! Really friendly, had a great chat and a laugh. Genuine assets to your team! The ONLY downside was the radiators are SO loud.. they let off a seriously high pitched sound constantly so we had to turn the heating up so that the room would be warm enough to turn it off completely for the night. Well typically it ended up too warm, so we pulled the fan down to put on briefly, which was even LOUDER and sounded like it was going to break. These only issues are thins out of the hands of any staff and more likely a higher management related problem not wanting to fund newer items for the rooms)

Restaurant and cleaning staff, brilliant. Reception staff except for one lady offish

As a frequent visitor to this hotel it remains a good standard.
