Superb special occasion treat. Fabulous building. Great location. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food was totally amazing. (We had the taster menu). Would love to return one day!!! Highly recommended

Lovely hotel in the best area of bath. Staff were friendly rooms and spa very clean. Limited parking for anyone driving to hotel but valet person was very helpful and accommodating. If we return to bath we would not hesitate to book again

Hotel is lovely… but it lacked some of the 5 star touches we had in previous visits.
Disappointed that the spa delayed its opening times without informing guesting which resulted in is having to cut our visit short

Beautiful setting, lovely service, great food, overall it was a great experience. The only thing is that they could do with a better organisation for the breakfast: the wait is too long (45 minutes to get our food, lots of time waiting on line to be seated) and the buffet is way too small for the number of guests (it would continuously run out of food). That’s only remark of an otherwise fantastic experience!

The most superb stay for my wife’s 60th. No16 oozes history. The period detail is exquisite. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The dining experience was excellent. The haute cuisine on the a la carte was a bit beyond my sons’ comprehension but my wife and I loved it. The hotel has charm and style and the best experience i have enjoyed.

Have stayed here many times over 30+ years. Still feels special after so many visits and highly highly recommended.
Staff are great, location & setting can't be beaten and restaurant does fabulous breakfast and afternoon tea (haven't eaten dinner there so can#t comment on that but suspect also great!)
Only thing to be aware of is that this is a Grade 1 listed building so that limits what they are allowed to do re modern plumbing etc so if a high pressure shower is a must then you'll have to stay in a modern soul-less concrete alternative!
My only reservation in writing this review is that encouraging more of you to book reduces my ability to get a room at short notice!

Everyone at the property went out of their way to help us. Mark who met us when we arrived was wonderful. Jacob helped us get dinner reservations. All the bartenders and wait staff were exceptional. The property was beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
