I stayed at this property for one day out of a 7 week booking. This was my first time in the UK and I didn’t know at the time I would have somewhere else to stay. I wound up checking out of the hotel after the first night and they refused to give me any of the money for the 6 other days I booked back. Total scam and rude staff.

Booking stated breakfast included. Had to pay for lukewarm breakfast as told Marstons had changed their policy AFTER we had booked. Surely should have honoured this and included breakfast.anyway it was not warm and staff couldn't care less

An old pub with lots of character. The upstairs accommodation takes you down a maze of corridors, which are very easy to navigate. The room that I stayed in delivered everything that you would need. The room itself could use a refresh in terms of painting the walls and running a carpet cleaner over the carpet. Over than that alls good for the money.

Clean and quiet in a central location with a decent breakfast. Nice staff. Our twin room had a very loose wc seat and the room was not serviced during our 3 night stay. I would stay here again.

Dated, run down and dirty. Food not up to much & wine glasses filthy (lipstick and grubby). Carpets throughout worn & dirty. Hole in our bedroom wall, Paint falling off the ceiling into the bath and radiator rusty and painted over. Breakfast poor quality and no yoghurt/berries as listed. Loud and noisy.
