Scandic Kouvola

Good hotel, perfect for business, clean , geat parking just outside on 2nd floor . Food is good.

Your average albeit a bit run down hotel. Does what it's supposed to: You get to sleep in a quiet, cool room.

Very friendly staff, but totally overpriced considering the condition and the interior of the hotel.

I enjoyed my overnight visit at Scandic. The staff was helpful and friendly the rooms were clean good size. The restaurant had excellent food and the breakfast was so good... I plan return visit next year.

This is a well-run hotel in downtown Kouvola, quite near the important railroad station {Kouvola is a major junction in Finland's efficient rail system). It's also close to a pedestrian mall, shopping (a large Sokos department store is across the street), restaurants, and bars. Our hotel room was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very well lit and usable, with an excellent shower with sliding doors that prevented any water from spilling on the floor (a problem at many Finnish hotels). The staff members we met were uniformly friendly and helpful. Our room included breakfast in the hotel's large dining room, and the food was excellent, with a nice selection of standard and Finnish items. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when we visit Kouvola.

A very comfortable room, nice breakfast and fast service! A bit of a walk with luggage, but the tram is of course always an option.

Only a short stay, but little things happen that confirm that there are good people around. Won't go into the long story but Anni and Marita are fantastic. I will not hesitate to stay here again. Many Thanks.

This hotel is strategically located for the tourist. There is a nice restaurant next door (where breakfast is also served). You're at walking distance from the promenade and the train station.

Enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for our local excursions. Hotel was pleasant and room was comfortable. Food was good.

The staff are superb and very helpful and the rooms are very nice indeed the breakfast was very good and the evening meals superb. I completely enjoyed my stay and will definately return

The hotel is ideally situated for anyone travelling by bus or train as it is only about 100 metres from the bus/train station. Or if you arrive by car the hotel car park (on the roof) is free. The staff are friendly, the rooms were clean and the complimentary breakfast was very good. Our only negative comment is the air conditioning - or lack of it. It's centrally controlled and was set at a constant 24°C, which made the room far too warm to be comfortable, especially at night. Consequently, the room was stuffy and airless, most of the time. We mentioned it to the reception staff but were told that people complain if it's cooler 24°C. But, we couldn't understand why, when there is a temperature control in the room, they can't leave it to the individual to set the temperature to their needs. We would recommend this hotel to other people as long as they don't mind very warm rooms. It's just such a shame about the air con.

Huoneen ilmastointia sai säädettyä. Mahtavaa. Kaksi ylimääräistä tyynyä valmiina kaapissa. Ympäristöystävällisyys huomioitu hienosti. Erittäin keskeinen sijainti. Ystävällinen henkilökunta.

Aivan kauhea melu aamu 06 asti kantautui ulkoonta. Tien toisella puolella sijaitsevasta ravintolasta kantautui todella kova basson jytke 05 asti aamulla

Huono sänky kapea parisänky liian pehmeä. Ahdas huone.

Ihan hyvä hotelli Kouvolan keskustassa. Sauna oli plussaa ja aamiainen oli hyvä

Hotelli oli keskeisellä paikalla. Henkilökunta erittäin ihania ja asiakaspalvelu oli erinomaista. Monipuolinen ja maittava aamupala. Ennen matkaani luin arvosteluista että läheisten yökerhojen musiikki kuuluisi häiritsevästi huoneisiin mutta näin ei ainakaan meidän kohdalla käynyt joten nukuttua sai oikein makoisasti.

Vanha hotelli/kiinteistö jossa näkyi epäkäytännöllisyys. Aamiaishuoneessa haiseva vessa. Henkilökunta oli iloista ja palvelevaa. Mutta lasten kanssa 2,5 h kestävä ruokailu, josta suurin osa ajasta meni ruuan odotteluun, oli liikaa.

Yöpymiset ajoivat asiansa. Aamupala kattava. Sijainti hyvä. Huone tilava. Sänky ok.
