Perfectly located to stay for an early train departure for CDG. 12 minute easy walk to Centre of Angoulême for large variety of restaurants. The area is not very desirable but it is opposite the train station $ that was the objective. Very clean room but unfortunately no fridge or tea/coffee facility in room.

Looked a right pit ,rough area could not see the so called parking We did not feel safe there so sis mot check im which was a waste of money but better than worrying about your car left on the street all night

Good hotel, exactly what we needed. Room just big enough, very clean shower good. Continental Breakfast and cereals was ample as we ate out for lunch and dinner. Ten minute walk ( uphill ) to the centre of Angouleme. Great hotel if you are exploring the local area, no frills but close to everything else you need.

Staff was very welcoming and the room was perfect!

Property is very convenient to the train station. Elevator was not working, having to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs. At night, light sensor not working, safety issue on stairs. We caught a 6:30 am train, it was dark and stairs not lit and having to carry luggage. No air conditioning, be mindful when traveling.

This hotel is fine for location if you want to be close to the station but the room is basic to say the least. If it hasn't been for the fab they supplied we would not have had a minutes sleep in the sweltering heat. The room is extremely small and claustrophobic but bedding and towels clean Arrived just after 12 . The door was not locked but the manager would not let us check in until 2. We had to camp out at the conveniently placed restaurant attached to the hotel. It was very hot so we sank down at of the tables for a drink and was told by the manager that 'This is not a bar' and if we wanted a drink we had to order (very expensive) food. There was nowhere else available so stayed put and ordered lunch. His attitude miraculously changed! Even the French couple at the next table apologised for the welcome to angouleme! We had to cut out stay short unexpectedly but it was with relief!

I was there for the local Comic book convention. I was ally able to stay one night because it (an all other hotels in the area} were booked. They served a great brekfast and its was conveniently next to the train station.

Overnight stay with a need to catch early morning train.

Good location for train station - much refurbishment underway and staff really helpful. For a simple over night it's hard to beat.

Hotel is just opposite train station, so was easy to get in the evening when we arrived. Threre is nice restaurant next door, speciality is fish. Food is good but rather expansive, 90 Euro for 2 just one course and shared deserts. Hotel itself is a bit old and in need of remodelling, but rooms were clean and comfortable. Will stay if need to be close to the train station as getting taxi in the evening to other hotel is not easy at all.

Well located for the station and convinient - short walk to town centre and eateries

This hotel was conveniently across the street from the train station but the rooms were very run down and shabby. My room was as clean as it could get because of the wear and tear of everything from furnishings to a very simple bathroom. Didn't feel comfortable taking a shower. No amenities to speak of. We were lucky to have a t.v. Angouleme is a very hilly city and this hotel was at the very botttom of the hill. It's best to take the buses if you can rather than trying to walk. The city is renovating the whole street in front of the train station with a completion date of 2017, so there is a lot of noise and dust in the area during the week. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The reception lady was very nice and tried to be helpful with her minimal English.

O recepcionista foi muito atencioso, prestativo e simpático.

Nous avons eu un peu peur a la lecture de certains avis, mais meme si cet hôtel n est pas de première jeunesse et l isolation est mauvaise, nous avons passé une tre bonne nuit.

J'ai appelé l'hôtel pour savoir à quelle heure fermait la réception sachant que j'arrivais par le train de 22 h 26. On m'a répondu 21 h 00 sans autres explication. Un hôtel 3 étoiles en gare d'une gare TGV qui ferme à 21 h 00 ! Hallucinant !!! J'ai réservé ailleurs et j'ai perdu une nuit non remboursable. En même temps, quand on voit la façade, on se dit qu'il est survie ou en sursis.
