We stayed at Plaka hotel for one night on New Year’s Eve. Hotel is in very good location - Syntagama square, Monastiraki Square and Ermou Street all close by. Roof top bar and restaurant have a very nice view to the Acropolis and surrounding area. We had a connecting room for our family of 4, which was fine for 1 night but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer as the room is quite small. There was also quite a lot of noise from the outside despite we were on 5th floor - but it was New Year’s Eve so bars and restaurants were a lot busier and noisier than usual. Staff at the hotel were just ok. I was a bit disappointed that they were not able to arrange a pick-up for us from airport despite I made request 24 hours in advance - I contacted another hotel I had stayed at and they were happy and able to make arrangements for me! Overall, I would recommend the Plaka hotel for couples but not for families.

Excellent location to everything, good beds and clean property. Staff was helpful and friendly and rooftop has an amazing view. Everything you needis here👍

Staff are professionals. Eva from front desk as well the other staff were accommodating. They’re so helpful to direct to the proper places I want to see. They made my trip stress free. Excellent breakfast buffet and room service.the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Acropolis was breathtaking while having dinner. This place is highly recommended!

The service at the Plaka Hotel was really great. We checked in early, got a load of food washing done (15 euro), they organised a taxi for 4am on the day we left and made us a breakfast tray. Location is excellent - so central to everything. View from the rooftop is incredible.

Great view of the Parthenon from the outdoor lounge. Good price for downtown Athens.

I had an amazing stay in Athens. I could not fault the hotel and staff. I will definitely return

View to acropolis

Exceptional stay at Hotel Plaka. It was off-season and very reasonable rates. We got an Acropolis view room without even asking! Very convenient to sights and to bustling pedestrian walking areas but quiet at night. Staff, particularly Eva, was helpful and checked in with us at breakfast buffet if we had any needs or questions for the day or the stay. Attractive, good sized room with high ceiling, king bed and great shower. Only could recommend a second sitting chair and perhaps more lighting. Only European style outlets. Would definitely stay at Hotel Plaka again - especially in the comfortable, less crowded off-season.

Really hotel and would be happy to stay again. Comfortable bed, great location, got shower, tasty breakfast and the staff were very helpful/friendly. The only issue we had was that the WiFi sometimes was poor.

This hotel is in great location, walkable to lots of shopping and eating. Took the subway from the airport and was a quick walk with luggage to the hotel. At the hotel we really enjoyed the included breakfast buffet. Great selection of food, greek yogurt was the best! The rooftop bar and restaurant with it's amazing view of Acropolis was another reason we booked this hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised regarding value, location and comfort. Staff were friendly and efficient. Comfortable bed, quiet at night for a good sleep. The complimentary breakfast is a great start to the day. Stunning views to Acropolis. Rooftop restaurant a must for views and great food. Highly recommend, will surely stay again.

Nice location

This is our second visit to Athens and Hotel Plaka. The hotel is located very close to the central square, tons of shopping, eateries, and Parthenon. The hotel has a wonderful rooftop bar and a new restaurant with a fantastic view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. The staff are friendly and extremely welcoming. They have a luggage storage area in case you get there before your room is ready. The Plaka district is a wonderful area with a lot of restaurants, shops, churches, and bustling nightlife. Located right across the street is a TGI Fridays and awesome ice cream shop. A supermarket located across the street and another around the corner are perfectly located for drinks, wine, beer, snacks and the like. Our room had a small fridge which kept our beer and munchies cold. The rooftop patio doesn’t let you take your drinks or snacks up to the roof. The bathrooms are remodeled modern and bedding and towels clean and modern. The hotel has two smaller elevators with one servicing the roof. The hallways seemed a little older and in need of a little updating. Our bed was made perfectly with a heavier comforter on top. I asked the non English speaking housekeeper for another sheet and with my drawing skills finally imparted what I wanted. The breakfast area was well stocked with European breakfast choices and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Scrambled eggs, meats, cheese, croissants, Greek salad, and fresh fruits were abundant. Juice and coffee machines worked well

Great area in the Plaka. Close to everything. Large room. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff.
