Bajo Sunset Hostel

The price was okay. The location was right in front of the port. You can enjoy sunset for hours there. The breakfast was only homemade banana pancake and a cup of tea. You may choose a cup of coffee too. If you don't like noise, you better Google other hostel/hotel because started from 8 pm to 1 am the bar near by (on the back of) Bajo Sunset Hostel always had live music. The staff here was friendly actually. I stayed for 2 nights. The first one was on 3 April before I went for sailing. The second one was on 7 April after I returned from sailing. They let me check in early at 1:15 pm when they knew I just got back from 3 days and 2 nights of sailing. The room and bathroom were quite convenient though it's very humble. The water was also clean. Recommended if you just look for a transit place, just make sure you can get used to the midnight live music. The swimming pool, I didn't really try because I wasn't sure. The restaurant didn't sell lunch or dinner. If you need food, better you search on Google or buy in the places with clear prices. Don't ever try to eat in scam seafood court called Kampung Ujung. It's easy to notice. On the corner of port with bunches of white big umbrellas and chairs and tables. Also, this hostel was near by TPI (Tempat Pelelangan Ikan) where fisherwomen and fishermen sold their catch every morning. So, you'll wake up early when you hear people shouting and bumping a lot of stuff. Many sellers like glasses seller with pick-up truck also used big speaker to play the marketing recording to sell the glasses. Then, there are grab or gojek ride (but not car). Lastly, NO WIFI HERE!

Bad hotel and not recommended to stay in Labuan Bajo.

You need to make all the rooms renovated.

Nice location, opposite the seafood market, close to the port and dining and service areas. However, the rooms may not be suitable for most people. The plus point is that there is a bar area with a beautiful view of the sea.

The toilet flush doesn't work, it's a bit complicated when defecating.. hehe😃

View directly to the sea because it is on the edge of the sea. The environment near the fish auction, the room & toilet are damp, maybe need renovation. Breakfast has never changed since the previous reviews, it's still banana pancake & that's it. *NB: the chef who used to cook fish is no longer working there.

The place is nice, near the beach. Near a place to eat grilled fish.

The price does not match the condition of the room, the bathroom is leaking.

Actually everything is good only for the room…the aircond,the toilet,the condition of the room is too old…

The view is directly to the harbor, right? There is a restaurant too and it's delicious.

The staff is very friendly, only the facilities provided do not match the price paid, besides that the bathroom door cannot be closed properly, the bathroom lights are dim.

Lots of mosquitoes, no water in the toilet. They should provide a ladle and bucket. How can you clean yourself using a shower. Then flush it?

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel in Labuan Bajo. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the harbor and the night market. One of the highlights was the stunning sunset view we could enjoy directly from the hostel. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to help with anything we needed. We also used the laundry service, and they returned our clothes perfectly washed and ironed, which was a nice bonus. The room itself was simple but had air conditioning, which was a great relief in the heat. For the price, it's exactly what you'd expect. I recommend this hostel!

Just taking a break is enough.

Very helpful staff, Kak Rian is her name, very helpful from the check-in process, leaving luggage, laundry, maketin. The location of the hotel is also very strategic, if you want to eat seafood, just walk to Kampung Ujung for 5 minutes 😍
