Expressia Hotel Makassar

This is my second stay at this accommodation. I stayed here for a night with my friends and they love this hotel too! The view from our room was beautiful, we slept with the curtains open since the lights from ships and boats were very pleasant to look at. We went to Alfamart which was just a few steps away to buy some snacks, bought food for dinner also from a local restaurant nearby (they forgot to gave us cutlery) but luckily the hotel's staffs were kind enough to provide it for us. The room is quite spacious and always clean, mirrors and glass are spotless, furnitures are new and it's obvious that they wipe them clean regularly. There's also qibla pointer which is really convenient for us muslims. This is a budget hotel to stay especially if you need quick access to most places in downtown.

This is my first time staying in this hotel and I love it. The room is aesthetically pleasing and clean, which is great. The toilet is spotless and has no weird smell like from the drainage pipe. The view from my room is great and I can take good pictures of it because the windows are clean. I love to stay here and will definitely coming back for my future staycations. The area is near the seaside and has lots of shophouses so it's very convenient. The staff are nice and very helpful, this is a perfect hotel to stay if you also want to save some budget.

Nyaman, hanya perlengkapan mandi sprti sikat gigi/lotion/sanitary kit gak ada, katanya udah sebulan kosong, jdi harus beli/bawa sendiri ya.

Lokasi bagus, view pantai losari, tp lantai kamar ngeres, keset dari kain bekas, gorden kotor, tidak ada sabun batangan, shower cap. Sarapan hanya ada lauk ayam so yg gak mau ayam harus minta sendiri telor di chef nya. Restaurant hanya ada 1 pekerja jadi melayani sendiri, sendok dan piring habis harus nunggu untuk disedikan lagi.

The staff were pretty much unfriendly, they looked me from top to bottom with side eyes as if I was somekind of thief. Bad experience.

The view were bad. Air conditioner was not cool. And the mirror in bath room are broken. Restaurant staff serving coffee in broken cup.

Stayed here for NYE. Very difficult to find parking. Eventually had to park on the street and blocked other cars who also parked on the street. We had to give the hotel staff our car keys so that they could move our car if needed, which is risky. We were hoping to have a quiet night by the seaside but the floor above us had what seemed to be a hotel-sponsored party/karaoke event. The music was very loud and annoying and disturbed our sleep and our child's sleep too. If we wanted loud music, we would've walked to Pantai Losari instead of stay at a hotel.:/ Very disappointed with the lack of consideration for other hotel guests' comfort and desire for peace and quiet. This staycation was the opposite of restful. Will not stay here again. At least the air conditioner worked. And the view of the ocean was good. The sheets were stained and off-white color, as if they once had been white but not any longer. The mirror in the bathroom was very corroded. The shower didn't have hot water. The windows were not reflective so the room got quite hot if curtains were open and AC was off. The breakfast menu was very limited. When I was there, they only served juice, coffee, white bread, margarine/sprinkles/chocolate spread, white rice, chicken, and mixed sautéed vegetables.
