Hotel Semeru Bogor

Hm good room, so quiet, cold, water heater works, get water too, also bad side like bathroom no lock, breakfast without spoon because no staff can called:( but overall still good for sleep.

Since there is only a 4-point scale, I can't give a neutral opinion, thus I have to go for"bad", sorry guys in Hotel Semeru. For non-Indonesian backpackers who are looking for shelter for a few days and don't wanna spend too much money, this hotel is acceptable. For holiday seekers used to some higher visual-hygiene standards, I recommend looking for something else. Stuff was friendly and willing to help. The room was a reasonable size. However, regarding room quality, it is Indonesian evergreen- lack of permanent maintenance. The walls were dirty, the showerhead holder in the bathroom was falling off the wall, AC was a pretty old model, which means a lauder, blanket without cover (maybe they are washing the blanket) … all looked a bit “sad”. One big positive was the hot water in the bathroom. As to the included breakfast, it was very basic. For my taste (I have been working and living in Indonesia for almost 10 years), perhaps way too simple. To sum it up, no expectation, no disappoinment. Typical lower middle-class Indonesian hotel with pretty OK pictures on the web but the reality is slightly different.

I love the room, simple but so cozy to stay for awhile during my break from work.
