If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful resort, with an amazing mountain view then this is the right place. This is also a perfect location for Work From Home. However, the TV 's signal was very poor but don't worry, the wifi is very strong in every area. Since the location is secluded and far from city centre, please make sure you bring some snacks and necessary needs before check-in. Thank you Ijen Resort.

The natural atmosphere around the inn is extraordinarily beautiful. Although access to the location is quite far from the main road, our family is very satisfied with the surrounding scenery.

Actually, I wanted to give it a 3 out of 5 rating. But since they only have a 4-point scale, I'll give it a 2,75. The location is great. However, I think the room facilities should be better for a hotel of this caliber. We booked 2 rooms in mid-February for our visit in April 10th. The hotel is located near the mountains, so the floors in the rooms felt cold. However, there were no slippers provided. The phone in my room was not working and had to be repaired. In my child 's room, the kettle for making hot water was leaking. The bathroom blower was super noisy. The hotel staff immediately replaced the phone and kettle upon complaint. As for the blower, we couldn't say anything as according the staff the hotel was full. The car park was a bit far from the hotel lobby and was located in a garden under trees. When we were about to get into the car, there were many black ants on the car. They seemed to have formed a colony since the car hadn't been moved for 2 nights. The hotel staff were quite helpful. He wiped the ants and spray insect repellent. But still, there were ants in the car during our trip back home 😬.

The bathroom door cannot be locked. Restaurant service is not friendly, food prices are unreasonably expensive. The extra bed had a collapsed mattress. Lots of small animals in the room. The TV channels are very minimal. The electricity arrangement is bad.

If you come from a big city and are looking for peace, this is the place. The beautiful & aesthetic views of mountains, rice fields & rivers around the resort are very calming. The air is cool & located far from the city center. The rooms are spacious & very pleasing to the eye with beautiful views. It's just that, in my opinion, the food from the restaurant is not delicious. Maybe it could be an input for management to improve the quality of the food, because guests can only eat in existing restaurants, considering the distance of the resort is very far from busy centers. The rest is good. Hopefully there will be more progress for Ijen Resort and Villas.

I don't know just my feelings or not, but we got an upgraded room than we should have. Very good and spacious, not inferior to villas in Bali. The mountain view is amazing and beautiful. The only drawback is the access road which is uphill and narrow, so if you bring a car you have to be careful if you run into another car.

Minuses: (1) access to the resort which is so private is about 6 km from the main road with road conditions only for 1 vehicle, it makes you nervous if you run into it. (2) there is no valet available, so you have to park yourself under a rather uphill climb to return to the lobby. (3) the parking area is land with sparse grass, if it is muddy it will be prone to slipping, there are no officers to help. (4) variant breakfast room condition fully booked but minimal variation. Pluses: (1) traditional aesthetic rooms but clean and well-maintained, no air conditioning but the air is cool. (2) the hotel view is indeed a champion and deserves to be the prima donna with views of Mount Raung, Ranti and Ijen. (3) the staff is super friendly and helpful in carrying items from the lobby-rooms-lobby.

If you weren't familiar about the road, please be careful when using the map because the fastest road they choose might be through Ijen and the mountain/forest trip was horrible. It was only us on the road, it was pitch dark and it was raining on top of that we really just hoped that we could go through it safely along the way. The city route is exceptionally further, but it will feel safer, so please take that way especially if you are travelling in a small group. The trip made us too tired to go with our Kawah Ijen plan, and it was already too late to enjoy the view around the resort. The resort overall looks old, a little bit unclean, and it somehow gave us chills. Wifi didn't work well and my mother said it was turned off at dawn (I don't know because I couldn't connect properly even once, so I just gave up using it). Bathroom is clean and wide, but once again it just gave me chills when entering I don't know why. My bathroom door couldn't be closed fully, but too tired to complain after we complained once about the bathroom fan being too noisy and the staff just asked us to wait until it got better (thankfully it really did). It is indeed a hidden paradise as it is located far from anything, so don't expect you could grab anything other than room service if you suddenly feel hungry at night, unless you're willing to go out with youe vehicle. I was so excited to use the pool, but it was not clean and got worse due to the heavy rain. Overall, it wasn't that healing from me. Pro: I feel this place will be wonderful to go to in dry season with big group. The temperature is pretty cool. The view is amazing and the resort is huge, it would be a great place for families with children. And you need at least 3 days there. This turns out to be a long one because I had such a great expectation, which is why the disappointment is worse.
