Stayed for 2 nights in this hostel, this place is perfect for backpackers who want to travel under a budget but still cover for comfy. The strategic location allowed me to explore around some destinations in Malang city, while enjoying some culinary not too far from the hostel. Staffs were very friendly, well, this is Java, everyone here is friendly! I stayed in female only room, the pods are decent, bed sheet and blanket are spotless clean. Shared bathroom was clean and looked well maintained. Hot water available 24/7 (i guess) and the water pressure is good too. There is a Fugu cafe downstairs where you can have a time for yourself, enjoy some coffee or other food and beverages. Get 20% discount just by showing your access card to the barista :) Overall, I had good memories staying in SO! Boutique hostel. Will definitely come back here if I have a chance to visit Malang again some day. Keep up the good work!

This accommodation is perfect if you want to explore Malang and just need a place to sleep. The design is very unique and catchy, with a simple but still comfortable bed. The bathroom is clean and has water heather. One thing that I love the most from this accommodation is the location which is very strategic and easy to be reached. The staff is very kind, welcome and friendly!

The bathroom is not clean, there are no sandals, the AC is structured to be on from 17:00 to 07:00 so when you take a nap the AC is off.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel and customer awareness regarding cleanliness is lacking. The bathroom is also very dirty, on the 3rd floor there are 4 bathrooms, 1 is broken, 1 door is broken, 1 shower is broken. The sink is also very dirty and clogged. There is no problem with the price being raised a little, as long as the maintenance is running. The location is very strategic, and the parking lot is spacious.

The staff is friendly, the location is very strategic, the rooms are also okay, you get lockers and towels. The cleanliness of the bathroom is inadequate, and some of the bathroom doors are broken. Recommended, but the cleanliness could be paid more attention.

The price is cheap but please maintain cleanliness, friends can see how dirty this hotel is 🙏 The smell of cat urine everywhere, the sink is clogged. The staff did not take the initiative to tell the WiFi password. If it is always dirty, it seems like no one will want to stay again 🙏

Hotel near the station, can take a pedicab or walk. Downstairs there is a cafe, cheap and delicious. You can also rent a motorbike at the cafe.

I tried to stay here again after not being here for a long time, there are many changes, the room facilities are still the same but there is a slight reduction in the cleanliness aspect, the interior looks torn down so it needs to be refreshed again the torn down design, 2 bathrooms are broken while the others are still functioning properly, the bathroom door is also difficult to open, please check the dispenser there is an unpleasant smell, the lobby looks messy and the smell of cigarettes is in the lobby, please return the clean standards like before, the sleeping area is still the same as before, the blanket smells good and the bed is still good and soft

Very comfy, industrial design, toilet has heater, close to the city, old town, and train station. Bed was okay, but I think the bedcover should be changed regularly. I suggest you to choose the down bed instead of the upper one. If you are too sensitive with smoke, it might not good choice for you, although there was a smoking area (literally at the lobby), but I could smell it from the upstairs (in front of the room, not inside). If you are moslem, there was no prayer room (I do hope they will provide it in the near future)

I've been here twice, 2 years ago this place was highly recommended! Because it's clean, fragrant, well-maintained and cheap, suitable for backpackers. But now, gosh, it's really bad. From the beginning, there was the smell of cat pee everywhere. So dirty. The lobby, rooms, bathrooms all smell of cat pee. The carpet in the lobby seems like it hasn't been washed for years. It's really dirty, it's a bit disgusting to sit there. Even though I used to be able to lie down there because it was clean and fragrant. The bathroom doors are mostly broken 😵‍💫. The mattresses don't seem to have been cleaned, there's a lot of dirt. It's a shame, they're not taken care of. So far, I've been really dizzy being here. The smell of cat pee, man.

Friendly staff and good facilities. Strategic location close to the station and city hall. It's just that the check out time is not in accordance with what is stated in the application. In the application, check out is at 12.00, but in reality I was told to check out at 11.00. The management of the inn is requested to review this policy. Overall, everything is okay, such as comfortable, clean and good wifi signal.
