We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We were greeted once we arrived. Transportation available to and from hotel to the airport but with a small fee. Very reasonable. We had no clue where to eat. The front desk staff gave us Recommendations, and it was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again, and recommend to any of our family and friends.

It is a lovely place, clean, staff were helpful and friendly. The location is great as you can have a nice walk to explore the nearby restaurants and port area. Transportation also is an easy access to city centre. 👍

Nice place, helpful staff with good resturant reccomendstions. Convenient shuttle to the airport - a great and relaxing way to end our trip. The area looks like it might not be the nicest when driving up but upon walking around it was very nice.

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The property was very close to the boardwalk with lots of seafood restaraunts to choose. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was a nice quiet are. This is a great place to stay because it is so close to the aiport. Shuttle service was great to have. The breakfast that was included was not the best, but the cappucino was so good. My husband and I highly recommend if you are looking for a one night stay in Fumicino and close to the airport, this is great!!

The property was okay but needs to really look at the way the rooms are set up. We had no working USB ports, there was no type of shelving in the room or bathroom to put your personal items if you are staying more the a few days, beds not comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely horrible. When I asked the guy who was staffing the breakfast if this was all the options he said that was all items available. There were no hot food items offered. There was only 1 inch pastries, which were no way enjoyable, a couple of fruit items, warm juice and warm yogurt which was sour. I cannot believe you have to pay 5 euros for this garbage. You should be ashamed to even charge for this crap! Did not feel too safe staying here due to the fact that the way you have to lock the room is by using a door key to stay in or get out. If there was a fire in the room and someone is disorientated they may not make it out if they cannot find the key in any type of confusion. I booked this hotel because of having good reviews but I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I do have to say that the staff were very nice so I give a thumbs up for the staff.

The room we stayed in #13 has bed bugs. I was all full of bites the next day. They need to take care this this so no one else gets bed bugs to take home.

This was our fourth stay at Hotel Academy. We came in 2018, 2022, and twice this October. The first three stays were wonderful, it is why we returned. However, this last stay was not very good. We were in one of the outside rooms and it was so humid in the room everything felt damp. The sheets on the bed were very damp and overall we felt like we were sleeping in a swamp. We did not sleep well and felt terrible on the morning from the dampness. The other concern was the very grouchy service person at breakfast. On both of our stays this month he was quite rude and he was coughing while making coffee. The front desk staff were very good and very helpful.

It's ok for a one night stay but pictures and amenities descriptions do not match the property. It is not on canal like pictures show, it's one block away (you can not see the water from this property). Canal area is nice with bars and restaurants. But the hotel itself does not have a bar or restaurant, except breakfast. We had two rooms, one had black mold around the window and Wi-Fi hardly worked in it. Other room was small but better.

Frequently in/out of FCO, we often need overnight hotels for convenience to the airport. Fiumicino is a good location for this as riverfront is lively and has some good food. Recently, they have generally been worse. Perhaps getting to the end of the season is the cause. This hotel was very highly rated, specifically for cleanliness. It was disappointing. Room #5 - walls thin, doors thunking through the night, clatter from breakfast setup from early morning; bed is in dire need of replacement, like a trampoline; dirty- trash from last tenant still in the bin, their contact lens stuck to the TOP of the nightstand, room consistently cleaned as though it were round…accumulated mold and mildew in/around shower…definitely not Covid sanitized. Generally unfriendly staff. Think they were all tired. We will move on to try another.
