Best Time to Stay at Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo

The best time to stay at the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo largely depends on your preferences and what you want to experience during your visit. Generally, spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are considered the ideal seasons to visit Tokyo. During these months, the weather is mild, and you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms in spring or the stunning autumn foliage.

Spring is particularly magical in Tokyo, as the cherry blossoms bloom, creating picturesque scenes throughout the city. Many parks and gardens, including the nearby Shinjuku Gyoen, become popular spots for hanami (flower viewing) picnics. This is a great time to experience Japanese culture and participate in local festivities.

Autumn, on the other hand, offers a different kind of beauty with vibrant fall colors. The weather is pleasant, making it perfect for sightseeing and outdoor activities. You can explore the city’s many attractions without the sweltering heat of summer or the cold of winter.

Summer (June to August) can be hot and humid, but it’s also a lively time in Tokyo with numerous festivals and events. If you don’t mind the heat, you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and participate in local celebrations.

Winter (December to February) is the least popular time for tourists due to the cold weather, but it has its own charm. The city is beautifully illuminated with holiday lights, and you can experience traditional Japanese New Year celebrations. Plus, you can enjoy winter sports in nearby mountains.

Its a good and big hotel. Near station and everything you need. You can go there from airport using limousine bus so you don't need to send luggage or carry the luggage from train station. It will drop you right in front of the hotel lobby and you can also book the limousine bus from the hotel concierge to go back to airport. Very convenient

Service is good, location is okay, need to walk abit from shinjuku station. Room is huge for japan size, downside was when I reach hotel at 3pm (check in time) they said my room is not ready, but then they changed my room to another room (similar type) and I got the room view that doesn't fully city view, altho I have requested previously. Stayed there for 4 nights. My view across is office building 😅😅 quite disappointing. 😅

Had a wonderful stay at the Keio Plaza Shinjuku. Our check in process was quick and we got a surprise upgrade thanks to Roman the concierge who made our stay that much more special. The rooms were large for Tokyo standards, and the bathroom included all the proper amenities. Service was excellent of course and I would say of a higher standard than the Keio Plaza Sapporo where I had stayed prior. Location is close enough to Shinjuku but still a good 10-15 mins walk to the main Shinjuku station. Overall would not hesitate to stay again whenever we are in Tokyo.

Very slow check in process with a trainee staff. She does not speak a good english so it was so hard to understand. I hope hotel management doesn't assign somebody who is not capable enough to handle guest check in yet. It took more than 30 minutes to handle my check in. Room does not match description in app which says separate bath and shower but in fact the room was shower over bath (showering on the bathtub). App needs to edit the description in this hotel room. The bathtub was not properly cleaned so it was slippery and I got tripped over and fell in the bathtub while I had my shower. I hope keio plaza management tell the cleaner to clean it more properly next time. However the location was great. It is very close to train station and shopping centre.
