Miyajima Hotel Makoto

This was such a lovely stay. Quiet area, super friendly staff and cozy, spacious rooms! Close to the shopping area and the hikes.

This hotel is grossly over priced for what it is offering. The public rooms are non existent, despite claims. The dining room is large and soulless, with mediocre service. Lighting in the bedroom is poor. There must be better value places to stay on Makoto island.

This is a lovely quiet hotel/ryokan. Beautiful large room with everything set up for onsen the Japanese bath, which was also delightful. The staff was very very sweet and helpful. We didn’t eat at the hotel; there are wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is a few hundred meters from the tourist area which is very quiet after 5 pm. Great place.

The staff at this hotel were friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and had every amenity. The onsen was rejuvenating. Wonderful stay!

Really nice Japanese experience including bamboo mats and futons for sleeping. Public bath was also a good experience and Miyajima is wonderful.

Excellent place to explore Myajima ..

So happy to have stayed in this hotel. Our Japanese style room was large and comfortable. The staff was also very kind and helpful. We also appreciated the genuine hot bath.

Everything was perfect! I just wish the checkout was a little later (10am).

Staff was super helpful and friendly. The front desk personnel spoke very good English and would go out of their way to help us if we had concerns or questions. This place hold many great memories of my trip to Japan, and the onsen/hot-spring did wonders for my skin. I hope to become a regular costumer of this hotel in future trips.

If you are staying on Miyajima, this is the perfect location. Just a few min walk from the dock, and typically there is transportation waiting for guests.

We enjoyed our stay at Miyajima Hotel Makato very much. Upon arrival, we were surprised to learn all shops generally close by 5pm. Your front desk staff quickly helped to organize breakfast for us the next morning though it was very last minute. We appreciated that very much. They even provide transportation to the ferry terminal. The whole team is always very attentive and ensure we are very looked after, our compliments to them for a job well done !!!
