Many bad experiences: 1. Front office staff does not understand vouchers. I tried to explain, the staff won’t listen. We end up spending 1 hour for check in. 2. Breakfast buffet greeter is a black man who spends more time sweet talking and chatting with caucasian guests. The restaurant is full, and he just took our breakfast vouchers and ask us to find our own table. This happened 5 mornings. 3. One morning, we have been assigned a table, put our tab on the table, but when we got back with our food, our tables were occupied by a white guy, our table tab were push aside. And the black buffet greeter didn’t care. He just asked us to find another table in the fully occupied breakfast place. So, we have to stand with plates on our hands looking for a place to sit by ourselves. 4. Check out time is 10:00AM. We stay in this hotel for 8 nights. When we asked for a later check out time, very politely and with smiles in our face. The front office staff, a Japanese guy, was very rude. He show us a piece of paper with the hotel’s policy on it. And said sternly like a jail warden “Read, this is our policy, it’s written in here” Never ever book this hotel. Some of their staffs are very rude.

Unpleasant things happening to us: - When we check out, the front office staff would not get us a taxi. She said, if we want a taxi, we should have told them at least a day before 🤔??? - No japanese food at breakfast buffet. When I ask, the black buffet staff said “the boss decided we do not serve japanese food. If you want japanese foods, there are plenty out there”. What an impolite staff☹️. However, all the Japanese buffet staffs, eventhough they do not speak english, are very good, efficient & polite. - Check out time is strict 10:00AM. Not later!!!!! When we ask for late check out, the front office staff, rudely show us the written hotel policy: check out at 10:00, it’s written there!!!!!!!😨😨 - We have the deluxe rooms, however, our windows facing the windows of the next door building, which is an office. Even in the morning, dressing and make up should be done with closed windows. Very disappointing. The Knot hotel shinjuku is far from the high scores.

The hotel is modern, nice and comfortable. The hotel staff is very helpful for us in conducting self check-in and check-out. It's a little far from the station but for us who bring children, the park in front of the hotel is a plus because our children are very happy playing there. Room not too big but comfortable. Downstairs there is a bakery and restaurant. I suggest you try the bread and milk cocoa because it's very good. We had a very pleasant experience staying here. Thank you
