Tokyu Stay Takanawa (Shinagawa Area)

Good customer service. Instructions on washing machine, air conditioner, etc.are not user-friendly but was able to manage it ( just time consuming specially when you’re tired and wanted to relax immediately). Most instructions are in Japanese, although there are translation in English, still hard since some are not compatible with the unit brands installed in the room. Staffs are courteous & rooms are clean although as expected, they are not to western standard in terms of their size. Good enough for couples. Location is close to train stations. Will consider staying again in future travel despite other shortcomings mentioned above. Thanks to all the staff for their wonderful service!

We have stayed here several times! A great hotel with all the amenities you need to pack light. My husband and son stayed here last week. Nice to have 2 train stations nearby. We like to go to Choi's Korean BBQ around the corner.

Good sized room with dining table with 2 chairs. Good bed and washing machine in the room with free detergent was so handy. Hotel was so clean and quiet close to subway/JR station but lacking cafes/restaurant nearby still as area under major redevelopment around JR Takanawa Gateway staion.

We had such a brilliant stay at Tokyu stay and the washing machine was so handy!! Definitely will stay again!!

A face to face check in system is good compre with self check in system. A room with a microwave and a Washing machine is very convenient. Relatively spacious room , good Wi-Fi reception, you can control an air condition as your preference temperature is also good. Things downside is that a room is a little bit dark and can see the next property is not good which is always close the blind become no day light . Otherwise this hotel is very good value for money and

Great location in Tokyo, the room is a bit small but well organized and we loved having a washer / dryer in the room. Staff is friendly and helpful

Excellent for stations and therefore for getting into town, the airport and Shinkansen. Combini around the corner. Staff were attentive.

Tokyu Stay Takanawa is a nice hotel to stay in but maybe not suitable for families with young kids. There is nothing much around the hotel. The closest 7-11 is about 6 minutes away, Lawsons about 8 minutes away. The closest konbini, Daily Yamazaki, is about 2 minutes away. The closest subway station is Sengakuji station which you can take to Narita or Haneda airport. The other station, which is about 6-7 minutes away is JR Takanawa Gateway station. There is a small unmanned konbini inside the station along with a Starbucks. The Starbucks closes at 10.30pm and it is a great place for people to do work. I liked the room I was in on the 9th floor. Since I was there in December 2024, you don't need to use the air-con in the room. I just have to leave the window slightly ajar and the room gets cold. The washer-dryer is very useful. There is a small work table which is also very convenient. They only empty your trash bin and replace your towels daily but they only do detailed cleaning if you stay for 7 nights or more. I did not opt for breakfast so I cannot comment on the food. There is a coffee machine at the lobby which is free for guests. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi. It can be unstable at time, as in it disconnects on its own but when it is connected, download speed is fast. I left it connected to YouTube to play music at night one day and I woke up, the Wi-Fi was connected and it was using my global roaming data, but I realized this is common with Tokyu Stay hotels.

Great place to stay. Conveniently located near Sengakuji station and Takanawa Gateway station. Room was comfortable size and had washer/dryer in the room which was a huge benefit. I will definitely stay again.

Staff are very courteous, friendly, and attentive. Great breakfast buffet spread. Free flowing coffee and tea bar in the lobby. Adjacent to Metro and JR stations.

Great quiet little hotel. A little bit pricey for what you get. Huge bonus having a washer and dryer in the room.

Everything is excellent. The size of the room is comfortable. The washer/dryer is a plus.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, I believe they are able to assist guests from around 20 language backgrounds. Rooms are a decent size, comfortably fit two people, with 1 suitcases each. If you are training with more than one suitcase I would recommend a bigger room. The location is close to a subway and railway. Giving good access to places like shibya or harajuku. Would recommend if you don’t feel like staying in the big city locations.

Great property to stay, especially if travelling to or from Haneda as there is a direct airport train station under the hotel. Also good for a mid/long term stay as there is a washing machine in the room.

The poperty is not far from an entrance/exit to a subway station, which makes it convenient. However, any good restaurant is a bit far, so I generally eat far away and take the subway back to the hotel.
