The 5 Elements Hotel

The room was a bit worn out, but the space and ample natural light completely make up for it! The hotel is located in the middle of Chinatown, though I could not hear the noise from the streets. The staff is wonderful - very friendly, helpful and always smiling! This is the third hotel I tried in this area and fifth I tried in all of KL and it's my favourite! I will definitely come again!

easy access because the location is in the middle of Chinatown, many restaurants around, close to the central market, Alor, Petailing, easy to order Grab. It's just that the hotel is quite old so it seems a bit dirty, breakfast is minimal.

The location is right in the middle of Chinatown, easy to get around, easy to find food, highly recommended.

I have two booking codes. 1 connecting family room and 1 twin deluxe room, at first he gave me two room cards as if there were actually two rooms but suddenly I realized that this didn't match my order, I should have gotten 1 more room which was a twin deluxe and it was true. When I complained he just gave me another room.

The air conditioner was very noisy. I had difficulty sleeping comfortably. Moreover, the bed was not flat and seems very old already, It 's time to replace it with a new one.

The normal check in time is 15.00. But I still cannot check in even after 21.30. I already booked & paid 2 weeks prior. But the male receptionist just stated that the room hasn't been cleaned yet and as the result I have to wait for approx. 20 minutes. Never got so disappointed on any hotel before. Pros: 1. Strategic location, just a step away from Petalling Street which offer various dishes & REXKL the famous book store. 2. The room is quite big & comfy for a solo traveler, the bathroom is small but its okay. 3. Complete amenities. Cons: 1. Unprofessional staff, and they just told me to sit down and wait while they clean the room, didn't even offer a single glass of water. 2. The male receptionist gave 2 key cards, but only 1 is working, fortunately when I got out the next morning I bring the right key card or else I wouldn't be able to enter my room? 3. Their time stamp is earlier than the actual time, so the next day when I got back to the hotel at 11.40 I got locked out from my room with my luggage is still inside, had to go back 13 floors down to the reception to reset the key card and the female receptionist, with a poker face, just stated that it's already check out time, when the actual check out time should be at 12.00? 4. Bad hospitality. Conclusion: Well. The room, the strategic location and the affordable price itself is quite a bargain. But then again, for me, a hotel is not just a place to sleep, it's also an experience. Thank you for giving me bad experience, would not recommend this place to any of my families & close friends

Very strategic location in chinatown, plenty of foods just next door.

Overall, hotel location is strategic & the room is clean. Quantity of hair dryer in this hotel is obviously insufficient. We only managed to get a hair dryer after multiple times of follow up with hotel staff. Thus, one of the improvements suggestion for this hotel is having hair dryer in every of their rooms for convenience of hotel guests. Besides, hotel should ensure that 2 electrical points that provided are functioning well as 1 out of 2 electrical points in our room was not functioning.
