I have stayed in Rose Park Hotel on many occasions and find the staff very helpful and friendly and the facilities clean and comfortable. The rooms have been refurbished and are lovely. I particularly appreciate the off-street free parking! The location is excellent with easy access into the city as well as beautiful gardens opposite.

The housekeeper woke me up by tapping on the door one morning, & calling 'room service'. It was just on 9am, I was asleep & confused as to why she was knocking. I hadnt requested a wake up call & I hadnt ordered room service. It turned out she wanted to clean the room and was an unnecessary intrusion.

Hotel was amazing in Parnell. Receptionist at check in was super friendly and helpful. Room must have been recently renovated as was really modern and clean. Definitely will be staying here again.

Enjoyed the proximity to the Rose Gardens. Two large coaches were parked outside our balcony which somewhat impeded the view. Traffic noise was loud but to be expected due to location.

We’ve moved round nz alot and this hotel doesn’t really stand out. It’s just ok. It was just very overpriced for a stay compared to some amazing places we’ve been to for much less. Was ok but wouldn’t go back.

The hotel room was amazing. Everything new. Bed was fantastic to sleep on. The downside was nowhere to wash the dishes used except for the bathroon sink and nothing to dry dishes except the towels.

The check-in reception staff member modified our reservation so that we didn’t have to haul our luggage up a flight of stairs. Parking was free. The in house restaurant was just okay. The rose garden across the street is pretty but quite small.

It's been under construction so I understand. The air conditioning unit had a constant out rattle in room 211. Very tidy room and service was great though.

The hotel was very good at explaining that the renovations were still taking place on the exterior - so I knew what to expect. The rooms were completed and are really lovely. Spacious and have all the amenities I needed. The food from the restaurant was fantastic and I would definitely return. One of the great things about its location is the bus stop right outside the entrance making it easy to get around using public transport.

Stayed mid October 2024.
When booking our room we were not told that we would be in a separate building to the hotel and had to climb a rather steep set of stairs which had no cover from the weather. We had no assistance with our heavy luggage to our room(we are in our mid 60’s)except for a tiny built female employee with my luggage and she even struggled to get the suitcase up the stairs. We had no information on the hotel and no guidance as to where the restaurant was onsite. On certain nights up in the roof cavity above us there was banging happening. The shower is unsafe as there is a step up I to it which is approx 30cm high and you needed to hold the door and vanity to step down safely. Can’t understand the logic in that one. For these reasons I would not recommend staying there unless you know from the outset exactly where the room is. Loved Auckland.
