Another good stay at the Carnmore. Area is a little quiet, but only a short walk to excellent cafes, restaurants and gardens. Really good value when booked well in advance.

Okay standard hotel. The buffet breakfast is very standard- in fact not worth the price. Shower was broken, and pressure was below average. Room housekeeping was a little disappointing with rooms being serviced at 2:00. Staff at check in were not very helpful and incorrectly charged up and left us with a terrible charge at the end of the stay. We were told we had breakfast included , didn’t eat there every morning but at check out were charged for each days breakfast regardless of we ate or not

Room was spotless and comfortable. Staff were like everyone in New Zealand, accommodating, knowledgeable and polite. The hotel restaurant had a buffet breakfast, but order from the menu. The waffles with caramelized bananas, berry compote and maple syrup was devine.

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly well appointed and looked newly renovated. There were new laundry facilities on our floor. The view from our room was disappointing in that it looked out on the wall of the building next door. The hotel was a short walk to the city core.

Lovely new hotel 10 minutes walk from Christchurch centre. Amazing service from the receptionist on arrival and loved the welcome brownie. Room nice and clean and enough space for 2. 1 washing machine and dryer for guest use at $4 a usage which we utilised. Some noise in corridors from other guests in large group. Would stay again & recommend to others.

The receptionist looks as if she didn’t want to be there. Not good at explaining things. She speaks like a robot. Not cheerful enough ro be working at the front deck. Parking is not ideal. We paid for onsite but couldn’t park at our own spot. When booking for parking there was no confirmation email send through. We have to ring up and check. The restaurant the guy who work in there was so loud and not professional. Keep talking to the customer he likes and ignore the rest of the guests. No greeting from restaurant people as he was busy chatting.
The shower is not clean. Yellow stain of soap scum can be seen on the tile and shower glass
