Location is absolutely ideal. Right on the water and walking distance to everything in Taupo. Our room and balcony overlooked the lake. Furnishings could use a little refresh.

As a long term hotels.com gold member , this motel was amazing. Only part was pool/ spa room was not as updated as rest of place. Good location walk to town and great lake front views

This property was totally outdated, inside and out. From the spiderweb covered exterior to the 1970’s sofas and carpets, the location is all this property has going for it.

We booked 2 bedroom apartment for 5 people as we were advised there was a sofa bed, however the sofa bed was not long enough for even 5 foot person, so 3 of us ended up sleeping on a queen bed with our feet hanging. The only descent thing is the bathrooms are simple but clean while the sofa looks old and dirty and the chairs on the balcony are dirty (full of birds’ drops). In our last 8 nights in NZ this was the worse accomodation while others have similar price range.

The unit is due for a major upgrade according to the staff member I spoke with at reception and it certainly needs it including kitchen makeover and replacement of crockery, cutlery and replacement of missing fire extinguisher in kitchen.

Had a great overnight stay. Apartment spacious and clean with a lovely lake view. Only negative was bed was very soft and probably quite old as soft sided and partner disturbance. For this reason we probably wouldn’t stay again. A shame because everything other than sleep quality was very good.

Well appointed, very clean and everything you would ever need for a longer stay. Unit was very spacious and nice gardens. Staff were very welcoming. Located right on lake front but wasn’t bothered by any street noise.

This isn't our first time booking this place, as its location is perfect for a short trip in Taupo. However, we were a bit disappointed this time. It seems there was a mix-up with our room; we had booked a Superior Room but received a Deluxe Room instead, and some advertised features didn’t match what we found. Additionally, the photos for the Superior Room were a bit misleading, as they suggested it would have a private bathroom, which wasn’t available during our stay. While we appreciate the charm of the property, it was a bit frustrating when our expectations didn’t quite align with the experience.

Great location, stunning views, very easy walk to restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking for us. Quiet units, didnt hear noises thru the walls. Deck was a little slippery in the rain. Unit was lovely and warm. Pool was nice and natural spa was lovely in the cold weather.
