Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha

A great spot! We had a long layover in DOHA, and this was perfect for that. Close to the airport, exceptional accommodations, and relatively inexpensive Ubers back and forth! Definitely recommend

The Rixos Gulf Hotel is absolutely magnificent. From our arrival to our departure we experienced high quality service. The staff at the reception desk are welcoming and always ready to help even when we checked in late at night. The rooms are quite spacious with tv, iron, safe and coffe/tea facilities. The bathroom is big and well stocked with hygiene products. We were lucky to get two intecommunicating rooms. Sameer looked after us and made sure that we had all we needed (and extra). We had only half board. Both meals were varied and although some dishes were available every day there was quite a variety and carered for all. Waiters were attentive and always ready to get our table ready or bring drinks. Some part of the restaurant had A/C on high so it was quite cold. The hotel is on the beach which is well kept with plenty of sunbed and free towels. The sea water was quite cold. There are water sports available, two heated swimming pools and a jacuzzi. There is even a gym with separate female room. The hotel offers locker rooms if your flight is after the check out time. We spent an unforgettable holiday! Thank you to everyone at Rixos Gulf!

Our stay at Rixos Gulf Hotel was perfect. From the cleanliness, entertainment, food and service from staff. The children loved the hotel as the animation team were great and kids club had activities for the children throughout the day. The pool was perfect kept at a nice tempreture considering the chilly weather at times and the food was great at the Farmhouse. A special thanks to the Farmhouse staff and Lanker the room service who kept our room clean and tidy. Thank you Rixos

Great hotel and staff

The property is nice and the staff are very courteous, polite and friendly. The rooms are spacious and big enough for a family of 4. Being vegetarian, we found the breakfast spread was good with sufficient veg options. Valet parking makes it really convenient if you travel with your car. It was our wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us little treats to make our day special. All in all, would recommend this property. We had a terrible experience with access to the hotel during a football match which was not the hotel's mistake but definitely keep in mind and check with the hotel about any events in the stadium nearby.

Great hotel for families

Great place to stay. Kid friendly the staff were super helpful and lots of kids activities. Staff were amazing - Adnan during breakfast always went above and beyond. Ayo always welcoming when we return Tushar looked after us and gave us the best room! Will stay here again for sure.

We had excellent service from staff in Crusty Taylor’s steak restaurant and management of main restaurant.

I stayed here in January/February and wrote a five star review. I chose to return on the basis of my experience, this time with my husband! I was in regular contact with the hotel in the run up to the holiday which made our poor check in experience very disappointing. We were not assigned to the type of room we had booked. The hotel did respond the next day but as we were there for short time , it did impact on our stay. The reason I have still given a five star review is that ultimately the guest relations manager went out of her way to seek to provide some redress. All the things I had enjoyed previously were much same, despite the fact that the hotel was extremely busy resulting in the buffet and pool areas being particularly stretched. As one of the pool areas is adults only - and extremely well policed- this minimised the negative impact there. The attitude of some guests, particularly towards staff was bordering on unacceptable. Customer facing staff and dining options, particularly in the speciality restaurants, were a highlight. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and well serviced.

Just been Rixos Gulf view for 10 days, what a great friendly hotel. I have been to many countries and was wondering whether Doha would be anything like Dubia? Well its not, Dubia is decadent luxury a bit over the top for some. Doha is more relaxed less extravagant and feels like it knows itself better.. I feel this hotel fits into what Doha feels like itself. I love luxury, don’t get me wrong, but some people don’t like it when their every move/encounter is catered for. I loved the hotel as the rooms were fantastic, we had a two bedroomed as our daughter came with us. All drinks in rooms were replenished every day, loads of water in drinks cabinet as well as other branded cans and also coffee machine and pods too. Decent size toiletries too. Robes, slippers, gorgeous fluffy towels.Iron/board/hair dryer all there. Outside of room again, everything you could want. Food area, was always well stocked and staff on the ball for clearing away dishes, there was a lot of food to choose from and mostly food was good quality and well cooked but some room for improvement if hotel wants to be seen as luxury, but only in main AI Farmhouse area. Mr Tailors & Rasa food was exceptional. I’m a big foodie (love nothing more than going to Michelin star restaurants, for reference) and these two restaurants were as good as any restaurant you would pay £75 a head in. Pool area’s were great and staff were exceptional, always checking if you wanted anything.More parasols though as heat is 🔆

Modern amazing property. The lobby had good historic artwork while beachside was relaxing and chic I would stay again.

A nice pleasant stay but breakfast, dinner and lunch could be better, same meal items served most days, we were there for a week so we opted to eat out instead of making the most of half board. No changing room attached to the gym, have to use the spa changing rooms which is not that close. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Remember to take your own toothbrush and toothpaste even tho it’s 5 star, when you ask for more they only provide one at a time-cheap quality toothpaste and toiletries. Other than that rest of the stay was average! Iron wasn’t working well but replaced quickly, hairdryer very hard to get working as you constantly have to hold a button down to power it up! Beach views are obscured as it’s near a marina port. I would say it felt more like a 4 star hotel.

Super clean, close to the airport, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Comfy bed, coffee machine and a hood bathtub what more could you want. Only negative is that room servive is expansive and restaurant choice limited and expensive and not many othher options nearby. But super convenient 10min from airpirt exactly and 12min retrun.

Such a lovely time we had here. We were welcomed by Sonia at reception who was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were so clean and we were given a free upgrade so please ask for one. There was a lovely team at the entrance always on hand to help . Special mention to Oye!!! Such a lovely exceptional gentleman. He even knew how to collapse our toddler’s stroller before we did 😂. Always had a smile on his face and happy to help. Breakfast wasn’t amazing. It was so repetitive and was just Turkish cuisine which if you’re not acquainted to won’t be enjoyable. So please bring more variety there. In the restaurant Nazaria was always on hand with a smile to serve. The chefs were always on hand for special requests and special mention to Pardeep who went out of his way to serve us fish. Rooms were so clean we got complimentary anniversary decor … thanks to Sonia and Lanka who even left hand written notes. We felt so special. Kids club felt a bit deserted. a lot of programs were just getting canceled. Some of the staff made very little effort with our toddler and had an inclination to the older kids while some just sat there on their phones. The toys there are old and in need of replacement. So kids club needs to get better. Rooms were great!! Getting cleaned everyday we absolutely loved it. They were very flexible with cleaning times too. Overall we had a lovely holiday. Thanks all
