Holiday Inn Express & Suites ABILENE MALL SOUTH, an IHG Hotel

Room had feces left in and on toilet when we arrived/maintenance never showed/ staff rude when asked to fix problems/ balcony door in “ corrected” room didn’t open. Phones in both rooms didn’t work. Doors slam when guests leave rooms. SLAM. Asked for discount due to issue NOPE

From check in till we left, it was great. The room was clean and the bathroom was also clean. Will stay again.

the property and the staff were all great. the breakfast, not so much. no hash browns and the bacon was xtra crisp, i should call it burnt. we planned our travel to be checked in by kickoff of sunday night foootball only to find they don't get nbc. it is a free, over the air broadcast, stick an antenna on the roof. it never crossed my mind that i should ask if they had nbc on tv.

Bed sheets and covers had stains and hair on it.

Some things in the room not as clean. Light fixtures rusty carpet dirtier than the norm. Didn't have that clean feel

Let me start by saying, I’m SUPER picky over everything. This was the best hotel I ever stayed at. It was so clean, breakfast was amazing and overall just a great stay. I have zero complaints.

The lady who checked me in was an absolute delight.

Great water pressure! I have super long thick hair and it was thoroughly wet in less than 2 minutes! Comfy bed and room darkening blinds that actually worked.

The staff was great and the room was clean.

Nice, clean and close to everything you would need. They didn't any cinnamon rolls and we were pretty sad about it. We love Holiday Express rolls!!

Great hotel and ADA room. Best I have ever had!!

Visted on a work trip. Normal checkout is 11, as a member we were able to request a 1230 checkout. We worked until after 4am, so we needed the later checkout to get some rest before the long drive home. At a little after 9am the cleaning staff was BANGING on the door, and when we didn't answer because we were trying to sleep they tried to come in, however the latch was locked so the pushed the door against the lock multiple times while loudly yelling "housekeeping" into the DARK ROOM. We made sure the do not disturb tag was on the door, and double checked it was still there when they were trying to come in. We went ahead and got up, and headed out as my husband and I both have a hard time falling back asleep after something like that. The front desk didn't really seem to care when I brought this up to them. I am still not understanding why housekeeping was even trying to clean a room that was scheduled for check out that day, or why they choose to ignore the door tag and were so aggressively trying to come into our room. Will definitely avoid staying at this property in the future.

Overnight stay, in town for a funeral. My mom and I drove in to support a friend. We arrived close to 11p and the front desk staff was friendly, efficient, and quick with our check in process. My mom has some mobility challenges and I requested a wheelchair accessible room and the accommodations were just what she needed to be comfortable getting in and out of the tub by herself. The room was clean and cool, sheets and bathroom were nice and clean. There were a few cracks on the bathroom wall in the shower but nothing alarming. The online pictures were relatively accurate. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Abilene. Thank you Holiday Inn Express Abilene!
