Holiday Inn Express & Suites BLOOMINGTON, an IHG Hotel

The hotel staff are all kind and friendly, and their breakfast was quite decent. They even offer take-out boxes.

Our room was adjoining, we were one of two families on our floor and we were placed in two adjoining rooms? We didn’t know the other couple and didn’t like them having access to our room. The pool/spa had a large white board propped up out front that said it was closed - I called the front desk to ask when it may open. The guest service rep told us the sign was just left over from the previous week and needed to be taken down. It was very inconvenient when traveling with children. The whole hotel smelled like pot.

Hotel is tired - carpet in room wore out and dirty by door and door to bathroom. Person on elevator asked how we liked the room -unsolicited- said the bath tile and grout was coming up in his room. Dinning room chairs stained and wearing out. Breakfast was out of fruit milk and yogurt 2 of 4 days. Pool was out of service same as last year at this time. Didn’t see it until morning but they allowed a propane gas truck (to fill home propane tanks) to park next to building right outside my rooms window. Tried to ask about a credit owed to me and night staff said they had no way to look it up so I booked another hotel for a fifth night in town.

Clean, good breakfast

The property was very clean. The breakfast staff had nice premade breakfast bags that you could take with you. The staff that was on duty during the Christmas holiday were very friendly. The pool area was very clean.

First room not clean - requested change. The bathroom in second room was clean, but the shower fixtures were old and corroded. The towels were years old and yellowed and carpet was stained beyond repair. The lighting was dark and needed updating. Housekeeping services were not offerred on Thanksgiving which was ridiculous; cleaning was skipped day prior to holiday which meant no clean sheets or towels for two full days - absolutely unacceptable.

Clean and good location. Having to go down or up a floor for ice is not very acceptable, especially with directions saying North to South ends, when actually it should be East or West when hotel faces North.

Great service

Their Key Card system was not working, had to wait to have someone to let us into our room. Average wait was 10 minutes. This had been out for over a week. Staff very friendly but hotel showing its age and carpets needs a good cleaning

We ended up have to move to different room because our original room smell like somebody did smoke smoking in the room so, request to move and did moved but the card reader isn’t working very well.

Excellent friendly hardworking staff, clean room, and good breakfast. However, the property is quite worn and decor is very dated. The key card system was not working so we had to have an escort each time we wanted to reenter our room.

The room was spacious. Pool area was nice.

No keys all SOLD out weekend.We had to be escorted to our rooms each time we entered our rooms.This hotel was in need of a renovation.The staff always were very kind and the location was good.The price we paid for an IU weekend event was exorbitant.

We enjoyed our stay. The stuff was helpful and friendly. The location was in good location with walking distance to restaurants. I would stay here again in the future.
