Holiday Inn Express WAIKIKI, an IHG Hotel

Very nice property

Low budget option. Hotel needs updating. Carpet in elevator lobbies was really bad. Breakfast was not worth it.

Besides the Room. The rest was petty and the staff was I don’t care about you and I know NO English. Hawaii is in the US. Adaptation to your customers is priority one. And saying No to every question asked of staff is insanity.

Elevators are slow and noise level was loud at times. Our housekeeper was very polite and friendly and did an excellent job with our room. Restaurant staff also did an excellent job keeping up with all the guests during breakfast hours. Overall, great place to stay.

Need better security with nice attitude

The staff at this hotel make you feel at home especially Roger the bell guy!The breakfast is better than the typical HI and the seating area is nice especially the outdoor. I had a room with city mountain and beach views on the 44th floor which is amazing!I liked the big hot tub and general pool area but it gets crowded really fast especially in the evenings.I am a black African lady and I was tested very well in all of Oahu. Aloha until I come back again

My bed was made but the sheets were not changed at all.

We are very satisfied with the service. The agent at the lobby counter was so friendly and professional. She got us a room right away.

the rooms were EXTREMELY small and every staff member we interacted with (except house keeping) was rude and unhelpful.

Pre paying for nightly parking was a joke. Management needs to be able to manage how many hotel visitors have prepaid and not allow random parking if all spots have been reserved to avoid having to park almost every single night at the Marriott for half the cost! The one night I was able to park I parked on the line, NOT OVER, on the line and security has the front desk call my room at 5AM to adjust and when I arrived the security tells me I wasn't parked bad at all. There was a hotel laundry room but other visitors steady advise the dryers do not dry anything and you will pay double if not triple the amount of money to dry 1 load ($20-$30) later versus going to the 24/7 laundry mat attached to the 711 store not even a whole block away ( 1 load = $7 ). Additionally, my room was always supplied with clean sheets and towels BUT I wish housekeeping would have kept up with the floors being most people will visit the beach and may have some sand in the SMALLEST bathroom floor. They provide one toilet paper versus having an extra one. Staff was always friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Breakfast was extremely packed every morning with limited space to sit and eat which was wild considering they also had outdoor seating. Food free and what you don't pay is what you get. This was okay hotel for children or sport teams traveling but I definitely wished I would have kept my reservation at the Renaissance and had a smoother experience with higher standards.

A half mile to the beach and the main shopping area, so it is not that quite convenient. Breakfast is just okay, not quality and variety. Room is quite small. $1,700 for 4 nights including parking and hotel fees, so I leave it to you to judge if it is worth the money or not.

Amazing view (ocean view) of Waikiki from the 44th floor! Good variety of foods for the included breakfast! Outstanding hotel staff! An 8 minute walk from Waikiki Beach and conveniently located near convenience stores, a 7-Eleven, and food trucks!

Great location, close to beaches,food and transportation. Friendly staff, great breakfast.

We had rooms on the 39th & 40th floors so the views were nice but sometimes we had to wait for the elevator. Rooms were small but clean. 5th floor pool area had lots to do for the kids; corn hole, ping pong, mini putt, foosball, plus a bar for drinks. We could walk to the beach, there was a convenient ABC store across the street. Parking in lot next door was pricey but that was true everywhere in Honolulu. Breakfast was good, the 2nd day they didn’t have the good cinnamon rolls though! The concierge was not too helpful for restaurants but we got a good suggestion from the front desk people.

We stay in Waikiki average 1 weekend per month and always stay here at Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast is awesome and definitely save big $$ by taking advantage. Also the pool deck are is nice with pool, jacuzzi, mini golf, ping pong, etc. great views too
