Holiday Inn MINNEAPOLIS NW-ELK RIVER, an IHG Hotel

The rooms were spacious and clean. The waterpark was great, wish it would open a little earlier. Will definitely stay again!

Great stay! Water park was big & fun! The restaurant in the hotel had a good menu and delicious food.

Will be staying soon staff was so friendly the hotel was clean and breakfast was amazing!

A smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, the toilet was not clean upon my arrival and the window shades, which were remote were not working. I fixed one myself but the other one the maintenance crew were supposed to fix which never was fixed in the 5 days I was there.

Stayed for a little girls sleepover party and it was a blast. Very group friendly and clean.

Water park is very fun for kids but pretty grimey. Very unimpressed with the lifeguarding, might as well not even have them. And we found a torn off human fingernail when we pulled back the covers of our bed. I know the cleaning staff can’t catch everything, but that was so gross and off putting.

We used to come here a few times a year for birthday parties when my kids were in school. We haven’t been back in a while, and just recently returned with our adult kids and their families for a 2day Christmas stay. This newly renovated Wyndham (used to be Holiday Inn) has huge suites, and hypoallergenic vinyl flooring! It now has a huge lounge area off the lobby with a pool table. The familiarity of the water park had us feeling sentimental. It was amazing and we so much fun. Also, the concession was better than we remembered! And the guy running it was calm and efficient even though at times the line was a bit long. The consensus is; we need to make this a new family Christmas tradition! Love this hotel!

We stayed one night, and had a great time. The waterpark is just big enough, and wasn’t too busy. We got a table right away and didn’t have to wait long for the water slides or at the concessions. Great drinks and decent food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and nice. Hallway was loud (we were by the elevators), especially at 7:30 am. Room needed more warm blankets- it was so cold! I did turn up the heat, but it didn’t seem to help in the living room area. The pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast was decent, though I’m not sure I’d have paid for it. We got it free because of a room error/overbooking, so that was nice. We love this hotel and waterpark and will be back soon.

Lower Bunk bed kept falling apart, the base slats did not stay and fell off so the bed would sink to the floor. King bed was literally like sleeping on a piece of plywood. Room layout was nice, rest of the stay was comfortable

My youngest son is allergic to smoke. I am medical cannabis user who rolled a joint and smoked outside never take/or smoke my medicine around kids or inside any place not even my home. Was charged $250 and didn't even smoke. Also had my sons shorts dropped off by his mom and the frint desk thru them out. Highly recommend going elsewhere

When we got there, the bar and the restaurant were closed, the handicap door openers were broken and there were multiple holes in both our sheets and comforter. We found hair in the towels and our socks were black after walking on the floors for 4 minutes in our room. There were lightbulbs burnt out and the elevators were disgusting. There was an ash tray and joints just left by the front door that we saw staff smoking from as well. Felt super gross and when I called down to ask for more towels after we received no housekeeping, they threw a bunch of hand towels in a pile by our room door.

We stayed here because it was close to the light rail for the vikings game. The waterpark was alright. Our room was suppose to be for 7 people but it was only big enough for 6 and it was small. The hotel was recently remodeled and already crusty. Looked nice but closer look was gross. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

We had a problem with the reservation made…it got cancelled eveidently. But, Sandy was able to process it in the last minute and found us a room, even got checked in early.

It’s a great water park and hotel

Property was conveniently located where we needed to be. Staff was very uninformative when we checked in. Since the water park was closed, no one said anything about the continental breakfast being free on Saturday and Sundays. We just happened to ask and that's how we found out. No discount given since the water park was closed. Or most likely we weren't told of any other discounts that word given. Beds were very uncomfortable, sofa chair in the room was hard as a rock and the office chair laid back to where you thought you were going to fall backwards. Overall it was fine since we only stayed one night but probably would not book again.

My stay was ok apparently I booked when MN kids were out of school so the hotel was super busy kids running through the halls from 630a until 11p. I didnt get much sleep very busy weekend.

Pool is for locals and only open on weekends. Our room had little to no hot water for a week. No room cleaning, no clean towels. Dozens of biting beetles in our room. Only service available with calls to front desk. Breakfast available only part time. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Never again.
