Homewood Suites by Hilton University City Philadelphia PA

The Continental breakfast was bad. There was nothing there except remnants of dry chicken, eggs, and potatoes. Everything else was empty.

The washing machine broke, our clothes sat in a pool.of water until someone came to fix it the next day. My kids missed school because their school uniforms were in that of clothes. I had just gotten out of hospital andneeded to relax for a follow up Dr's appt on Tuesday and had to wear pajamas to my appointment. They on gave usenan extended checkout until 12noon and our clothes were still not ready and the hotel also shut off the tv and house keeping kept knocking on and opening the door as if we were not having an issue. The front desknwas notified multiple time and the communication was terrible. I feel as though I should be compensated for this major inconvience.

This property is really worn down. Hallways were dirty, room smelled musty, door didn’t close properly, half the power outlets were broken, no soap in the bathroom, towels smelled weird, furniture was damaged, etc.

The property was dirty and the staff was extremely rude. I originally booked through Expedia when I got there they told me my reservation had been cancelled I never received any email or notification saying that my reservation was cancelled. Then I asked to book a room in person and the price was $60 more than my booking on Expedia. Then the girl charged my card twice and when I told her she double charged she gave such an attitude saying she didn’t do that maybe it was the charge from Expedia but I used a complete different card so when I told her that she said my bank must have double charged me. It was a horrible experience from the beginning, and my room was dirty.

Room smelled. Moved to a new room. Also smelled. Dirty carpets had not been vacuumed in ages, rips in the rugs, food sprayed on walls and ceiling, room not equipped at all. Ice maker not working. Shower knob not working. Altogether a terrible disappointment. Breakfast food was old and stale.

Tv Was Inconvenient It Was Down All Night.

Great customer service the whole time!!! They even opened the breakfast area so we could try to see the fireworks!! Great location. We walked from Amtrak station. The pool had a crying screaming toddler for almost 30min till we walked out, thats just bad fellow guests. The pool didn't look the cleanest, let the kids play but i stayed out. The room was great for family of 4! Almost full size fridge was great, and utensils, saved us! The pull out sofa had some sort of big stain that looked like a bad clean up job of blood or poop! Again amazing customer service and nicest staff!!!

I had an excellent stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton University City! The location is incredibly convenient, especially if you’re visiting Penn or Drexel, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby. The suites were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, making it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen area was fully equipped, which was perfect for preparing meals, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The on-site amenities, including the fitness center and pool, were well-maintained and added to the overall experience.

Hotel was really nice and we would go again.

Checkin was a breeze, as always. Only issue was hot tub was broken (whole reason for staying at this particular hotel). Other than the hot tub issues everything was exactly as expected and quite nice.

Very disappointed that the indoor pool water was very cold so we could not enjoy it, the hot tub was not working or available. The toilet seat in the bathroom was covered in cleaning solution so I had to rinse and wipe it off. There was hair in the shower and bathroom floor. The breakfast options were not good and nothing was gluten free so I couldn't eat anything. For the price that I had to pay to stay at a Hilton, I expected better.

By far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed. Super clean extremely quiet, very relaxing.

Comfy as always

Basically, the trash from the last guests was not well emptied out and the necessities for the sofa bed person were not well equipped, so it dragged the grade down a little bit.

Staff was friendly and helpful

We specifically booked this property because they advertised an indoor heated pool and hot tub. Upon arriving, we discovered the hot tub drained and unavailable, and the pool ice cold. This was the primary reason for choosing Homewood Suites and had we known these amenities were not available, we would have booked elsewhere. At no point did staff make us aware of this, either before or during checkin.
