Hotel Lumberjack

My partner and I walked across the street to check in (not an issue). When we entered our room it had a mild mildew stench, I was not too worried about it. But, then my partner saw our comforter on our bed and it had stains. I mentioned that it's just stains but as we looked closer it was greasy like someone had recently just ate over our bed. I called the hotel to get a new comforter and they said that housekeeping lives 30 minutes away and I let them know to just drop off a new comforter and we could put it on our bed so that housekeeping does not have to drive all the way over just to change bedding... The lady did say she could take some money off of the bill but I said not to worry about it. Our sleep was horrible; from 2am-4:30am it sounded like a frat party next to our room. We did not think to call the hotel to report but we sure do regret not agreeing to a cheaper bill. Small inconveniences: TV remote hiding in a pamphlet on the night stand, drying rag found above the toilet and not anywhere near the sink, and parking was bad but cannot do anything about that. Anyway, would I recommend, yes hahah because every other hotel I have stayed in Sonora was 10x worse. IF we had a good nights rest I would give it a 7/10, but definitely a 4/10 because of a horrible sleep.

Located within a block of downtown and plenty of parking on site. Bed was only equipped with a light bedspread on a night in the low forties. Heater off at checkin and took hours to warm up enough to sleep. Broken reading lights. You can do better.

Hotel was very close to our conference location. Staff was friendly & accommodating. Light at night was bright. Felt safe walking. Room was clean & updated inside. A bit musty smelling though. Nice continental breakfast served. Parking not soo good. Property parking had people parking there that weren't staying there. Ended up in overflow parking across the street which was just about at capacity due to others parking there that should not have. Outside of that I would stay there again.

It was a great location with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Parking was easy. Our TV and room phone didn’t work, but WiFi was up and we were good with that. We would stay there again.

Dining nearby

We loved the retro vibe of the remodel. It was fun! Everything was new in this old motel. The parking lot is a bit small but overflow was right across the street. I would stay there again.

Everyone was so nice

I wanted to insure a smooth check in so I paid in advance and went to the hotel to check in for my company at 4 pm since they wouldn’t get in until 1am. I was assured that they only needed to stop by the desk and pick up the keys. Upon arrival, they had to wait near an hour, 3 kids in car, to figure it out.

Clean, convenient hotel. Plenty of dining options and activities close by.

The staff was very nice. The place is clean i would stay here again. Only problem was their system was down on the computer so it delayed are check in process but the staff made it happen.

Guests were noisy. No wifi but staff, cont breakfast and room were great! On site parking was appreciated.

Staff was wonderful and very helpful and friendly. The only thing wrong was our room smelled like smoke. I know that is not the hotel's fault, it is supposed to be non-smoking. Maybe add some type of nice smelling something to help mask the smell.

We enjoyed the decor of the room which fit with the historical town. the staff were VERY helpful and friendly.

Minimal but clean, convenient and comfortable. I will stay again if I find myself in the area.

The room had been recently renovated and was very comfortable. For a non-smoking room, though, it had a faint scent of stale cigarettes and celery (??). The staff was wonderful though! And they are dog friendly!

Fantastic place! I came for 5 days, and stayed for 8 🙂
