We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Nell. Its atmosphere was eclectic and fresh. The hotel only has about 5 parking spaces so be sure to reserve ahead of time. But no worries, there is a garage next door.

I’d like to say I definitely enjoyed my stay here. The staff were amazing! They helped me out big time with questions I’d had. They were able to accommodate me easily. I appreciate the stay and will definitely come back whenever I find myself in D.C again.

My partner and I came to DC during the snowstorm hit and everything was closed. We enjoyed our stay there and tried to communicate about extend our stay for one more night with a front desk about 7 pm. He was rude and left in middle of conversation. We decided to moved to Kellogg hotel next day even there were no one driving (taxi, uber, lyft, etc)

The room and the premises are clean. I loved its location near Union Market. However, the reception shoild change its card readers. As I was about to pay my safety deposit, I never saw a prompt on the reader. Despite this technical issue, the reception entered my card into the payment software on computer. Secondly, the other issue was the hardness of the pillows.

I thought the rooms were a bit dark, and there was no comfortable chair to sit in a read a book. The TV did not work for me at all. It was "repaired while I was out for a while but only had a channel on that I could not go to another. I just wanted a news channel that I could never get to. All other Hotel Rooms TV s work but not at Hotel Nell. Breakfast was great on the 3 mornings we stayed there. Rooms just a bit to small for me. A good stay though. Thanks!

Room AC were not working, We were told breakfast was complimentary (wonder why of that wasnt) but it wasnt and we were given 2 token for drinks just for the bar to be closed.

Had a great time at Hotel Nell. We were spending our time elsewhere during the day, so I can’t speak for the bar or restaurant, but the hotel stay was great. My only very minor issue was that I felt like I was showering the dark, but that was more an unreasonable expectation on my part that wasn’t met. We traveled with our dog, and that went well too. Would definitely return.

I stay in hotels often to do travel blogs. Here are the pros and cons from this hotel. CONS -Rooms were extremely small -Mattress were cheap with no back support -Noise from local businesses and other rooms were overwhelmingly loud -Hotel room had holes in the walls -Parking is almost impossible on weekends with maxed out hotel parking accommodations PROS -property had trendy boho look -walking distance to union market restaurants

Stylish and inexpensive in a neighborhood with striking income inequality and gentrification, and not as easily accessible via the Metro as it may appear based on the map (I am a former DC resident and generally very familiar walking all over large cities). More notable though was that although it was inexpensive, the room was among the smallest I've ever been in and just much smaller than was worth the price.
