Kimpton EPIC Hotel, an IHG Hotel

I was disappointed in the condition of my room. After walking on the floor, I had to clean the bottom of my feet due to the unclean floors. There was thick dust in the closet and dust balls on the floor of the closet. Minor repairs were needed, e.g., chipped wood, rust in the bathroom shower, etc. It was way too overpriced for what I received. I will not stay there again.

We had a good experience overall. However, the valet parking most definitely a surprise. There was no self parking, so I was forced to pay $52 a day for valet parking. The staff was pleasant. Everything was clean. However, there was some language barriers with the housekeepers who did not speak English.

A beautiful hotel, however in my room the phone wasn’t working, the TV wasn’t working, and the air conditioner wasn’t working. I couldn’t even call the front desk due to no hotel phone. I went downstairs to let them know that as soon as I entered the room, everything was broken. The front desk immediately sent the engineer to the room who “fixed” everything. Ten minutes after he left everything broke again!!!! I called downstairs and demanded to be moved - of course, the hotel was sold out. Such a beautiful hotel- but the first time is a lasting impression…. And I will never stay at the Kimpton Miami again.

My stay was overall good but I paid almost $3000 for the room when I got there they made me pay an extra $1000 as a “security deposit” that I never got it back they have a bunch of hidden fees for something that’s not even considered a resort;they still charge you resort fees even if you didn’t use any of the amenities The rooms are also small and outdated. I wouldn’t come back here unless I want my money to go down the drain. Definitely not worth the price.

The good: The room was very comfortable and had modern furniture. The pool area looked really clean and swanky (we didn’t have time to use it). The balcony had a gorgeous view of the water. The bad: The satellite TV service was very glitchy and would cut out every couple of minutes. The Wi-Fi was terribly slow. No coffee maker in the room. The clock in the room was set an hour off (we stayed in January – weeks away from a daylight savings clock change – we went ahead and fixed the time on the clock ourselves). The Hotels.com app said our checkout time was at noon, but the housekeeper was pounding on our door at 10:35am asking us to check out. The ugly: I think this hotel is more accustomed to a “Ritzier” clientele than us. (We’re just a couple of goofy midwesterners who stayed here the night after our cruise 😂)

We really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food was excellent! Room service was worth the money. I wish there was a sports bar on the premises, or somewhere to watch the game with more than one television.

Staff was great! Food and pool area was wonderful. Our room was very nice with a balcony and very neat and clean. We would definitely stay there again

I was able to check in early which was much appreciated as I arrived off a cruise. I enjoyed the pool and had a wonderful supper.

The hotel had a strong cleaning detergent smell, there was not a bellman to help us with our bags when we arrived and we waited 15 minutes to check in. When we entered our room it smelled like cigarette smoke covered up with lots of air freshener. When I called to complain they told me they were sold out and did not have any other rooms available and sent someone up to take care of the smell with even more air freshener, which I declined. They were agreeable to refund me for my second night and we found a different hotel to stay in.

We enjoyed watcing boats on waterway from our balcony. Room and bathroom wew large.

The shampoo was already used and the pressure of the water was too low

Great hotel highly recommend. Fantastic location very walkable.

Treated myself after a missed connection. Our day at this hote and exploring the area around turned out to be the highlight of the vacation

My wife and I had a wonderful experience there! Can’t wait to go back again.
