The hotel is old and faded

The condition of the room was terrible. The bathroom doors looked like they had been gnawed on by a large animal. There were huge stains/spills on the carpet and all furniture. Worst of all, there was NO HOT WATER. The customer service was very inconsistent. One front desk clerk, Jesus, was AWESOME! He went out of his way to be helpful and was very friendly and personable. Another, whose name I didn't get, was absolutely horrible. He scared me and other guests. An older woman was telling him that the wifi didn't work when I came down to ask about the water. He got in her face and yelled at her. He said she was stupid because his friend works in IT and said there was no problem with the hotels wifi --- it was her phone. He insisted that she look at how it worked on his phone. Her husband had to come and intervene. He told me that I needed to trick the staff into giving me a room with hot water later in the day. At another point I came down to find a vending machine to get pain relievers. He said there were no machines but offered me a couple of grubby pills out of his hand. I felt like they were probably roofies. This person felt really unsafe and I was scared through my entire stay.

They are in the midst of renovations but other than that, the stay was great!

Hotel is being renovated. It really needs it. The shower in my room did not work. The handle just turned in a circle. I was only there for a very short visit so changing rooms in the middle was not an option for me. I was very disappointed.

I always have a nice stay at this La Quinta. Easy access to highway. Centrally located in Austin. Great friendly staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hallways and common areas need facelift. Good breakfast options

It's real for a facelift but I think that started on the upper floors last year. Good

The staff was very nice and the room was very clean.

NO hot what in the January, 29* out. The back door to the Hotel was wide open, anyone could walk in or out. The parking Lot was full of containers and trash everywhere. very low standards at this place.

All lighting was very dim -couldn’t even read a book. Mgmt obviously buying low power bulbs to save a nickel. There was a cabinet clearly designed for a fridge and a microwave, but it was empty. They had an ice machine, but no ice bucket in the room (and no fridge), so we couldn’t have a cold drink. The breakfast was nasty, and even the coffee was not good because it was luke warm, nowhere near what one would call hot. Also, the lock on one of the exterior doors was broken and wouldn’t lock, so not secure at all. Just a crappy hotel. We have two family members living walking distance from the hotel, but even so, we have decided to avoid that La Quinta.

The carpets are filthy, pillows horrible. Doors yo rooms very flimsy. Hotel needs to be updated and deep cleaned.

Easy accessible, plenty parking, great breakfast, updated room, all for a very reasonable price!

My dog and I stayed two nights over Christmas. The stay was uneventful and pleasant, breakfast both mornings was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only concern, and it’s a big one, is security. None of the doors were locked, 24/7. The two side doors and the back door were incapable of locking, since the locking mechanisms were broken. Since I travel alone, this matters a lot to me, and I was very distressed by it.

This hotel is being renovated but, even the rooms that were supposedly renovated already are terrible. Our initial room had a roof leak. The second room was missing a tile in the bathroom wall and the holder for the toilet paper was about to fall off. The carpets are dirty and stained. They accept pets but I doubt they ever clean after them. I would not stay at this La Quinta again

We were in Austin for a wedding, 8 of us stayed there. It was very comfortable.

heard noises from other rooms, could have been more private next time if possible and outside heard possible construction ? like I heard a couple having sex, umm could have had more privacy please, I didn't need to hear that !!
