the room have been freshened up but are rather beige/brown/boring. The vinal plank flooring is practical but dirty. The bottoms of my feet were black after walking on them for a couple of hours.

The rooms are definitely old and small not what I expected. There was a moldy smell and mold in the bathroom. The hotel lobby and breakfast area were new and remodeled. The breakfast was wonderful.

The motel is old but in good, clean condition. The mattresses were very comfy! Possibly the best I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Breakfast was decent. The area is a little sketchy. Lots of people out super late at night doing questionable things but we felt safe inside. The only issues we had were the pool being closed for the season (it was not mentioned on the website and it seems early for this early of the country) and our door deadbolt didn’t work. That was slightly worrisome considering the outside situation but it worked out fine.

We lost power due to hurricane Helene so decided to spend the weekend exploring Charleston. This was a great location with friendly staff. We will stay again when we come back down

Would strongly advise not to stay here. First huge red flag was the Police crime scene caution tape blocking off the 2nd floor balcony. Once we got into room it was not too clean, had sticky floors and there was a cigarette burn-hole in the bed spread. Also on the hotel property there were a few low life people just hanging around at around
1 am. Was definitely one of worst hotels I’ve ever been too

I liked the way the property looked on the outside and in the lobby. However, when I entered my room, it was not clean. My biggest issue was pubic hair in the bathroom. It was all over the floor and the toilet. I mentioned it to housekeeping, but nothing was done, and I was in a rush, so I did not mention it on the way out.

Upon arrival I noticed a lot of construction vehicles and workers around property. Had to change room three times.
First one was right next to room that was being torn apart and threshold on bottom of door was hanging off plus bathroom had mold in shower.
Second room was on first floor next to staff room that people were living in and smoking and door was stuck so even though key worked couldn’t open door.
Three try for room man at front desk had no teeth and reeked of cigarette smoke..not sure he worked there or not?? But finally got room that was suitable for one night.
Apparently Quality Inns are now privately owned by foreigners so I will not be booking with that chain and more.

Very nice hotel very comfortable lots of amenities the only problem is the beds were supposed to be queen size there's no way they were that big but overall a great stay
